Chapter 18: Separate Lives

Keun Suk Oppa has all praises for the café and the diner. He liked the food so much and thought of even bringing the chef with him.

"You want the cook and not me?" she teased him. They were talking about the café while on their way to the airport.

The past few days they went and spent some nice vacation in the cold mountains of Baguio. They spent their days there like some normal couple. They walk around Session Road holding each other's hand, went boating at Burnham Park and nobody cared about them. She took him to enjoy the night market, buying cheap items or just simply eating street foods he had never seen in his entire life like the chicken feet and chicken intestines. She was laughing so hard at his expression. It was priceless she was sure to treasure those moments.

Baguio is a city on top of a mountain. The air is colder and its like a paradise for her because of its natural beauty. She and her friends would often go there for vacation during summer when the sun is just so hot. But this time, spending it with Keun Suk Oppa was so special. It was a nice get away from their busy schedules and his public life.

They enjoyed the adventure they had like the Superman Ride and Silver Surfer Ride but she almost died when Keun Suk Oppa dragged her to try the Tree Drop. She was definitely screaming her lungs out and swore she hated him. But it was just a spur of the moment expression, when she calmed down and saw him literally screaming with fear as well she forgave him.

They enjoyed the city to the fullest. Trekking, hiking, zipline adventures, food picnic, playing golf or just simply breathing fresh air away from the busy city and embracing the green nature, it was just too nice. But there was one scene that really took her by surprise. They were at the Belle House wandering around the museum but when they went outside at the amphitheatre, he just suddenly said, 'Do you want to get married here?' and it took Belle by surprise. It felt like her heart dropped to the ground.

The amphitheatre was so amazing. Bushes and flowers were circling the small gazebo at the center and there was literally nothing but pine trees, flowers and the sky. It felt romantic walking down the steps and its like it was beautifully built and kept for occasions like that but her heart was just not ready to be hearing those kinds of things from him. Belle tried collecting her thoughts and unable to hide her blush she looked away from him and never said a thing.

She could feel him giggling as he hugged her from behind. Thankfully he didn't say anything afterwards. They just stood there looking down at the romantic amphitheatre with her in his arms. She suppressed her mind not to go anywhere her heart is not ready to go.

They went to the Cemetery of Negativism and laughed at the hilarious but meaningful grave stones. There was one grave stone that said, 'Lived Wondering Why - Died for No Reason' and he told her, 'I atleast don't want to live my life like that. I couldn't imagine life with no purpose, an empty life. Thinking back, I made the right decision running towards a single goal. Though I am still not at the end, I found you while living this way. It wasn't easy but there is nothing I could ever complain. It was all worth it.'

She found herself admiring him even more. She knew how hard he had to live through and it inspired her as well, his strong heart and tenacity to live chasing his dreams. Zikzin like he would always say. He lived a difficult life yet he retained a positive outlook. She had chosen the right person to love and follow. She couldn't complain how hard her life may will be in the future. With him by her side, it will all be worth it, I'm sure.

After the short vacation they had, unfortunately came the time to say good bye. From Baguio they went straight to the diner to have dinner before she took him to the airport. Keun Suk Oppa has all praises for their food, he cant stop talking about it and its just making her heart proud.
