Chapter 26: Beating Hearts

Belle can't stop her heart from beating for that man infront of him.

She can't take her eyes off him. His was so sweet and the song was touching her heart in so many ways. She could feel every lyrics that he sang and it felt like her heart wanted to explode from so much love.

Oppa, why am I feeling like this? My heart it won't stop racing. What should I do? I can't even take my eyes off you... I want to hear your voice and I love the touch of your hands, she thought of then stared at their hands that are entwined.

He continued singing and when he sang the part 'Because loving you is my pride', he looked at her with so much love in his eyes, it made her heart skip so hard. She found herself biting her lips and looking away. She could feel the blushing of her cheeks while he squeezed her hands. It felt so warm and so wonderful to be beside him.

"Did you like my song?" he suddenly asked. She could only nod but didn't look at him. She pretended to be looking at the beautiful view from Mt Hakodate. After enjoying the sparkling snow at Biei, they continued their road trip to Hakodate.

"Why aren't you looking at me? Say what you really feel while looking at me. Common," he pleaded but there was a hint of naughtiness in voice.

She smiled inwardly then looked at him. "You have a very beautiful voice Oppa and yes, I love your song... so much."

"I believe it when it comes from you Belle," he said and a beautiful smile appeared on his lips.

"Wae? (Why?) You don't believe in yourself?" she teased.

"I do... but it makes it even more special coming from you," that's what he said and she could feel herself blushing again. Ever since she met him, he never failed to make her feel so special and loved. Her cheeks couldn't do anything but keep on getting redder and redder everytime.

"You know before we separated, I made a promise to you that I'll only sing for you. And I make good on that promise. Even though you left me, everytime I sing, I always remember you. Whenever I perform on stage, I always think, could you be watching me too? Could you be listening to my songs too? I always dreamed, I always hoped that someday I will be able to sing again the songs I have dedicated for you. And I am just so happy that you are here with me now."

She felt her heart being pinched. He must have been really sad. Why did I even make him sad? she asked herself.

"You are my pride Belle... the only one I always longed and the only one I always wanted to protect," he said. His hand reached for her face and caressed it. It makes her want to cry. "I'm sorry if I wasn't there when you needed me, when I couldn't do anything and you get hurt."

"Oppa, what are you saying? You don't have to say sorry. I might have lost my memory but I feel that if there is someone to say sorry it is me. I hurt you. I did," her tears finally fell from her eyes but Keun Suk Oppa wipped them off her face.

"No. Don't say sorry. I know you did that for a reason. It may not have been time for us to be together then. Who knows. But Belle, I want you now to be mine. To be with me and love only me."
