Chapter 26: The Longest Day

It was a pretty normal morning but the most beautiful one he had had for days since the scandal has broken out. He was back home after a long time and this time he was with the person he wanted to be part of his family, someone he wanted to be part of his life, Belle.

Keun Suk was very much happy that in spite of everything that's going on around them, Belle was welcomed by his parents. Mrs Jang, who suggested to take Belle in instead of letting her stay in a hotel or in his house, was very thrilled and excited to see her again.

Yesterday was very rowdy. The house was full of people. His friends coming to see Belle, or his managers and their employees from the company coming to have long hours of meeting inside the house for their next move and counter actions, and or media people and fans loitering, lingering outside, waiting to catch a glimpse of him or Belle, or trying to catch somebody to bombard with questions. However nobody talked and in the evening though, they dispersed quietly.

That night, with the thought that Belle qas safe in their house, he able to get some nice sleep. In the morning when he woke up, the first he looked for was her, but was surprised not to see Belle in her room. Then he went down and saw his mom making breakfast.

"Mom, morning," he greeted his mom and kissed her in the cheek, "Have you seen Belle? She's not in her room."

"Belle?" she looked at him, her hand stopped making sandwiches. "I think she's in the garden. I saw her taking Sunni there, why? So early and your awake, are you going to the company? Why don't we go together?"

"Nope, I have to drop by at Kurt's studio first then office," he said taking one sandwich from the platter.

"Ah, okay. Then are you taking Belle with you?"

"Nope," he told her. "She's been emotionally stressed lately, she needs some break."

"How about I take her shopping after office," Mrs Jang suggested excitedly.

Keun Suk stared at his mom, his furrowed expression looked like she was so excited to have somebody she can drag to go shopping, "I don't think so Mom. I don't think it's a good idea for the time being. But don't worry about her..."

"Why? Aren't you worried about her? I know you..." she said looking at him with her eyebrows raised.

"I am but- come..." he said leading Mrs Jang to the garden.

They found Belle seated at the bench where they sat last night. The laptop on her lap, earphones stuck in her ears and she was writing on her notepad while Sunni's head was lying on her feet. A smile appeared on his face as he looked at Sunni who seemed to really like Belle.

"She looked so serious. Is she writing?" Mrs Jang asked.

"Yeah. That's how she unstress herself. She pours her heart and her mind to her works. She can be quite weird sometimes but just tell everyone not to mind her. It's good that she's writing, it makes her mind busy. Oh," he exclaimed, "later she might transfer to her room and never come out, don't be surprised, that's how eccentric writers are. ha ha."

"You're crazy calling her like that," said her her brows furrowed.

Keun Suk just grinned at his Mom, "That's just how she is... and she's perfect in her own way," he said, his heart elated and proud.

A smile appeared on Mrs Jang's lips as she looked at his sons face, " Alright. What about lunch then?"

"If she won't come out, probably she forgot the time... just give her a knock, or you could just send her meal to her room. It will be difficult for her to get up when shes so engrossed over something..."
