Chapter 23: His Trust and Her Lies

Tanya calling...

A smirk appeared on Kurt's lips as Tanya's call registered on his phone. It has been days when the girls purposely evaded his calls and now, they are the one calling him. After debating for a while, he decided to take it.

"What do you mean Belle is missing" he was surprised when Tanya said that Belle left their hotel yesterday and never said anything to them.

"I told you, I don't know... but do you happen to know where Keun Suk Oppa is?" asked Tanya.

"He is in Seoul, why?" he was getting curious with everything that's happening. "Yeah. He is currently busy with his upcoming projects and last time we talk, it seems that he has given up already."

"Can you just call him, check on him, please... but don't say anything like Belle is missing. Please we really need your help Oppa."

That's what they said. But when he tried calling Keun Suk, his phone can't be reached. He tried the agency and Manager Gun, they don't even know where he is. As the minute pass that he kept getting the same answer from everyone even their friends and the agency, the impossible thought crossed in his mind. There was a huge possibility that Belle and Keun Suk are together. But the question is how did it happen.

"Ju Ae said you were looking for Keun Suk Oppa, why? Did something happen to him, BB?" asked Na Young when she suddenly called him.

"Nothing, but do you happen to know where he is?"

"No, I asked manager Gun too but he doesn't know anything. Why are you looking for him anyway?"

"Nothing much. I just wanted to asked him his output about something. Bye."

Kurt instinctively turned the call off. He knew Na Young so well, it would be better not to involve her.

A little later, he met up with the girls at a café. They both looked so worried.

"I really had a bad feeling about this. I think they are together. Could she have regained her memories?" asked Abby.

"Impossible. Belle would never go with him if her memories returned," said Tanya, late for her to realize he was there, listening to them.

"Why?" he asked. They looked surprise at him, like they said something they shouldn't have said. "Why do you look so confident that Belle wouldn't go to him if her memories have returned. I knew it, you know something."

Both girls looked aghast but still they kept their mouths shut. He was getting mad at them again.

"So you still will not talk? Okay, then I guess I don't have any business here. Good luck looking for your friend," he threatened and stood up but stopped on his tracks when Tanya spoke.

"I swear we really don't know anything," he glared at her. "Belle is a very secretive person, not to mention very stubborn... but you know that already. Once she set her mind into something nobody can stop her. What happened between them a year ago, the reason why she left him, she didn't tell us."

"Are you really her friends? Keeping secrets even from you?"

"Friendship is not measured on how many secrets you know from your friends... its how much you are willing to share your shoulder and uplift each other without asking too much questions," she said.

"That's right. It's understanding and accepting each others differences. People have different ways of dealing with pain. Of the three of us Belle is the strongest emotionally. She is our strength. She has always been like that. That's why when the time came when she was at the most vulnerable we decided to protect her... even if we have to lie to her," said Abby, tears were threatening to fall once again.
