Central Launch

Friday na and today is a big day for me, there will be multiple seminars for our launch, tackling the topic of sexual harassment and being a sexual harassment survivor to empower the community. All of the hard work my team and I did will be put to the test. We expect that at launch, people from all departments will come through with their stories and the lines we opened will be filled with requests for investigation.

My day started with a me time, just having a heavy breakfast and sipping on my big mug of coffee, listening to Glaiza's song and the cover song she did from Leanne and Naara. It brought me calm as I prepare mentally for today's launch. I also prepared money to pay for the bet I lost with Solenn.

Bianca and Glai will be handling the visitors we have from Chicago, in fact after our launch naka schedule silang mag-punta sa isang Art Museum sa Antipolo. Pinto Art Museum and have Dinner. Napagkasunduang susunod na lang ako pagtapos ng araw ko sa Central to join them for a send off dinner.

I don't know how today will go, but I pray that we may have the strength to push through these plans. Mom and Dad will be there at the Launch, pati na din si Ate Nadine na kauuwi lang from London kahapon. There will be lunch served at the launch. Umuwi ako kagabi sa Q.C. so I woke up at 4 a.m. to get ready for school.

As I was preparing my clothes for the day, which was my green and gold collared university shirt, black jeans and other stuff, Ate Nadine came into my room.

I smiled as I saw Ate Nadine emerge from my door.

"Can't sleep Ate?" I said smiling at her

"Yep, I can't. Missed you so much Rhiwhi." She said smiling as she sat in my bed.

"I missed you too Ate Nadine." I said smiling.

"I heard you've been working hard to launch this helpline. Super proud of you Rhian." She smiled at me.

"Opo Ate." I nodded at her.

"Hays, ang baby namin, always thinking of ways to help out, have you thought of what you want to do baby?" Ate Nadine asked me.

"I want to take my medicine degree in Psychology, the country needs Psychologists and Psychotherapists. Madaming tao sa Pilipinas ang kailangan ng tulong." I replied.

"Also heard from Solenn that you have so many people clamoring at you in school." Pangeechos ni Ate Nadine.

"There's only one I know of Ate, her name is Glaiza C. Galura." I said to Ate Nadine.

"Yiiiiieeee tell me about her." She said.

"Ate, I need to get ready for school. Here, listen to this two songs, and get yourself ready, you'll come with me to school." I smiled at her.

"Ok, sige na maligo ka na." She said as she took my phone and docked it on the speaker.

The song played as I made my way to the bathroom, I closed the bathroom door behind me. I took a shower and scrubbed and put on some conditioner. Natapos akong mag-ready ng 5:15 A.M. 

Ate Nadine was already in her jeans and an off the shoulder black top, her hair pulled back in a pony tail. She was wearing heels. She smiled as soon as I was out of the bathroom.

"Napakinggan ko na yung dalawang songs, is that Glaiza?" She asked me.

"Yeah that's her, you'll get to meet her later." I smiled at Ate Nadine.

"Spill the beans!" Ate Nadine said excitedly.

"She's my VP-External at the Psych Department, Dependable, sobra kung umeffort, dubbed as FEU's Nightingale, her parents run a non-profit NGO called Bright Psyche, which offers easy access Psych Treatment for needy patients. She's amazing Ate." I gushed at Ate Nadine.
