Panibagong Lunes!

Mom was right last night. I needed to talk to Glaiza. I planned to today, because I can't keep on hiding from her. I got up early, nag-work out for two hours and ate my breakfast. By 8 a.m. I was in school. Dumiretso ako sa Dean's office ng Department namin. Tyempo namang andun na si Glaiza. Nag-gigitara ito. Agad syang tumigil ng makita nya ako.

"Hi, Glai." I greeted her with a smile.

"H-hi. Rhian." She shakily said.

"Hi. We need to talk." I said smiling to her as I approached her desk.

"Sure." She said.

"Great, wait I'll leave lang my bag here tas we could go to Cafe Alfredo."

I said as I left my backpack underneath the table, bringing only my phone and my wallet. I held her hand in mine as we went out of the office at pumunta na sa Cafe Alfredo. Hawak kamay kaming naglalakad papunta sa cafe. Hindi pa din sya nagsasalita.

"Glai, pasensiya ka na sa nangyari nung Wednesday. I just don't like being touched in my butt." I said to her.

Yung kaninang tensed na pagkakahawak nya sa kamay ko, biglang nagrelax na as we walked to the cafe.

"I'm sorry din. I wasn't aware of that." She said.

"A friend of my parents did that to me, he got drunk and touched me in my butt, kaya may bad memories ako about being touched in the butt." I said finally.

"Sorry, I'm really sorry Rhian." She said.

"Okay na yun, Glai. I just want you to be aware that it's not okay. Kahit naman sweet ako talaga sa mga katropa ko, I don't let them touch me that way." I said as I continued to walk.

Nang makarating na kami sa cafe, inakbayan ko si Glai at sinabi sa kanya.

"Choose what ever you want, my treat." I smiled at her as I placed my order of Iced black coffee.

"Nagbreakfast na ako, thank you na lang Rhian." She said shyly.

"Something to drink? Second cup of coffee?" I offered.

"Coffee sounds good." She said.

"Hot or iced?" I asked her.

"Iced please." She said.

"One brewed iced coffee and Iced Latte to go please." I smiled at the cafe staff as I handed her a 500 peso bill.

"Will there be sugar for both?" Staff asked me.

"Mine has no sugar or cream. Hers kung ano yung usual na timpla ni Glai." I smiled at the staff, kabarkada ito ni Glai, si Ketchup Eusebio.

I sat at the table where Glaiza was sitting.

"Ano bang timpla ng kape mo?" I asked her.

"Kung brewed coffee, two teaspoons of cream, one teaspoon of sugar. Kapag Cafe Latte, one teaspoon of sugar." She said.

"So kung nasa remote area ka 3-in-1 lang ayos ka na?" I said laughing at her.

"Hahaha! Oo. Tama yan." She said laughing.

"Ako black lang talaga. Kaya nung nag-immersion kami last term, sobrang tuwang-tuwa yung family na pinagstayan namin, hindi daw kasi ako maarte." I said laughing.

"Hindi ka naman talaga maarte, kahit ano nga ok lang sayo eh." She said laughing.

"True yan. Minsan magkaka-sakit ako kakakain ko ng kahit ano eh. Pero ok lang yun. Minsan kailangan din natin ng bacteria sa katawan eh." I said laughing.
