Glaiza visits Rhian

It was Saturday, I was sleeping in my room when I was awakened by my Ate Nadine.

"Rhian! Gising!" Ate said as she nudged me.

"Mmmmmm? Too early Ate go back to sleep." I grumbled to her.

"Manliligaw mo andito." Ate Nadine said giddily.

"Sinong manliligaw?" I said to her groggily.

"Sino pa ba eh di si Glaiza." Ate Nadine replied at umiling-iling ito.

Napabangon ako ni Ate at dali-dali akong pumasok sa banyo to straighten myself. When I got out of the bathroom, Ate Nadine already left my room. I was wearing a denim cut-off shorts and an oversized shirt, I changed to a black tank top. I tussled my hair and put on some lip gloss. Once I was satisfied, bumaba na ako sa sala. All the while thinking what she's doing here. I racked my brain if we agreed to meet today or if I missed to discuss a project to her. Wala naman akong maalala. Once I came into the living room, Glai stood up and handed me a bouquet of white roses like what she gave me at Barasoain Church and a box of Chocolates.

"Thank you, Glai. So sweet of you." I greeted her with a smile.

"Walang ano man, Mahal." She answered me.

"Upo ka. Bat ka napadalaw?" I asked her.

"Aayain sana kita mag-tagaytay today eh. Kung ok lang sayo." She smiled.

"Ok lang kung pwede ko isama si Ate Nadine. 4 months na siyang wala sa bahay eh, I was kindda hoping Ate and I could get to hang out. You don't mind do you?" I asked her.

"Hindi naman. Close na nga kami ni Ate Nadine. Diba Ate?" Glaiza asked Ate Nadine for confirmation. 

"Oo naman." Ate Nadine agreed.

"Wait, kelan pa kayo naging close? Bakit hindi ako nainformed?" I said puzzled.

"Kanina lang." Glaiza smiled sheepishly.

"Wow! Hanep ka din eh noh?" I teased her lightly.

"Bawal babagal-bagal." Glai replied.

"Sya, sige. Maliligo lang ako at magbibihis. Manuod ka muna ng tv dyan." I said smiling at her.

"Ate ikaw?" I asked Ate Nadine who's still sitting at the sofa.

"Nakaligo na ako kanina pa. Hahaha! Jet lagged pa din eh." Ate Nadine said laughing as she browses through the tv stations.

"Okay. I will be right back." I said as I walked back upstairs.

Normal talaga ni Ate ang majet-lagged at hindi makatulog pag-dating sa Pilipinas, sometimes 5 days na ay gising pa din ito. Longest I stayed up because of a jet lag was 3 days maximum. Anything else, is suicide. I reached my room and laid out my jumpsuit shorts and my sandals. It was sunny outside although it was July.

Pumasok na ako sa banyo at naligo. It took me 45 minutes to finish taking a bath. When I'm done I wiped myself dry with a towel. Nagbihis na ako at inayos ang buhok ko at naglagay ng konting make up, just enough to make my eyes and lips pop. I tussled my beach wavy hair. I slipped on my sandals and finally my black leather jacket and small purse with my shades, cards and cash are stashed along with my lip gloss if I need to retouch later.

Bumaba na ako sa sala and found Ate Nadine and Glai totally engrossed on the TV Show they were watching. Glaiza smiling softly as she stared at the TV, I stood at the entry of our living room just watching them both have fun. Madaling nakuha ni Glai ang loob ni ate, something the previous relationships I have had trouble getting. Mabait din naman sila, but I guess not very patient or as charming as Glai is. After a while, I decided to make my presence known.
