Fresh from battle

It has been a couple of months since manligaw si Glaiza, patapos na ang 1st Term kaya heto kami nirarush namin ang Psych Night. Kasabay ng pagrereview namin for finals. We were multi-tasking some are cutting decorations, some are already placing the decorations, today is the last day of Finals. Tonight we will party. The past few months had been laid back. Glaiza and I proposed to our department to have the helpline we had consolidated to the Central. Bagay na inaprubahan naman nila. So now, everyone in our Department officer line up had access to the emails and chats on their phones.

Which made life in central easier, because the officers are now divided. The Central officers now handle Sexual Harassment cases while the Psychology Department together with Alumni Doctors handle the Mental Helpline. As they are more trained to handle the cases. So far, we have a bi-weekly catch up session with the school admins, so far as well there were 20 cases of sexual harassment filed and resolved against professors at 10 cases against a student filed and resolved. It was chaotic to say the least, but definitely made the school life of our students better. Dahil lahat ng biktima noon nagkaroon na ng boses ngayon.

The effort brought Glai and I closer. There are times she would sleep over at my Condo. The old room Bianca and I shared, Glai and I now shared. I had my maid Teresa move Bianca's stuff to the guest room. Bianca still slept over on days Glai wouldn't. Solenn sometimes crashed with Bianca on the guest room. Bianca became more serious with Julio and I am honestly happy for her.

At least right now, everything was peaceful and calm. I was reading through my hand outs as I sat at Freedom park, cutting away the decorations as I did my reading. Glai sat beside me doing the same. Reading as she sang a song for her performance later. She was practicing the song called Take my hand by Picture This. It was a nice and upbeat song. She has a band in school which was called Synthesis band they play any genre of songs you could think of, with Glai as the lead Guitarist and Vocals.

I have had an opportunity to hear them play on one of the previous activities held in school last year. She was singing the lines and I could see from the corner of my eyes how she smiled at a particular line.

"Tawa-tawa ka dyan? Kala mo naman talaga, ikinapogi mo yan?" I asked her.

"Topak nanaman mahal? Di ba pwedeng naalala kita sa pagkanta ko?" She said as she reads her hand outs.

"I love the way your hair falls in the summer, I'll treat you like your Father treats your Mother and I'm kinda scared of your older sister." She said laughing.

"You haven't seen how my hair falls in the summer." I said laughing.

"Oh, that's what you thought." She said.

"Aber kelan yan?" I faced her.

"Unang beses nung summer of 2015, tapos 2016, tapos 2017 tapos this year. Enrollment period." She said.

She was right, because I wore my hair down the past few summers, while I enrolled. Kapag schooldays kasi my hair is in a messy bun or a ponytail.

"Aysh! Stalker ka talaga!" I said to her.

She earned a slap on her arm as she laughed at me.

"Rhian ah?! Masakit yun, mahal." She said as she nursed her arm.

"Sorry lab, san masakit?" I said as I touched her arm.

"Ikikiss mo ba?" She asked me.

"Okay, I'll kiss it." I agreed.

She then points at her lips and smiled.

"Dito masakit." She said pouting.

"Aysh! Sobra naman yan lab." I said and slapped her playfully.
