Central Conquered

It was Election Day here at Far Eastern University. Solenn and I have been on our 'camp' at the Freedom Park. It was after lunch and in 20 minutes malalaman na namin ang resulta ng eleksyon. The whole school was on half day for the announcement of it's Central Student Organization Officers. Solenn and I held our hands together, praying for a good result. They were all gathered at the stage near the Freedom Park. Both parties were called to the stage ang Partido namin na Partido IROGG or Independent and Responsible Officers for Good Governance at ang kabilang Partido MAHAL o Malaya At Haliging Aalalay sa Laban ng magaaral. 

As we are waiting for the final results, inisa-isa muna nila ang pag-announce ng mga nanalong kandidato. Mistula kaming mga beauty pageant contestant sa itinakbo ng programa.

"Our new Vice President for the School Year 2018-2019 with 5,310 votes is Solenn Heussaff!"

Napuno ang freedom park ng hiyawan, tilian at cheers para kay Solenn. Maya-maya lamang ay kinuha na ng emcee ang isa pang envelope.

"Okay, here it is. Our new President for the School Year 2018-2019 with 5,310 votes as well is Rhian Howell!"

Napuno muli ng hiyawan at tilian ang buong freedom park, Bianca ran up to me sa stage, she hugged me as well as Solenn.

"We told you." They both said.

"Thank you, Sol and Biancs for believing in me." I whispered to them both.

"We are so proud of you Rhi." They said as they both squeezed me tight.

Para kaming sandwich at ako ang palaman. Solenn was a tall stunner, she was taller at 5'6. While Bianca was Smaller than me at 5'3 we looked like a slanted Sandwich. Everyone congratulated Solenn and I, ang mga kaibigan namin from other departments also approached us to congratulate Solenn and I on our win for the Central Elections. 

"Congratulations Rhian." Glaiza came up to me to congratulate me.

"Thank you, Glai." I smiled back at her. 

"Guys! Victory Party tayo sa Condo Unit ni Rhian!" Solenn screamed to our Team.

Nanalo ang kabuuan ng Partido IROGG sa Elections. Most of them were Solenn's original party, since it was Friday at wala namang klase bukas, I decided early on to throw a party at my Condo malapit sa school whether it was a win or not. We went to a nearby grocery to buy Booze and Food. I didn't bring my car dahil coding ako, so Bianca and I car pooled on our way to school. Her car was coding on a Monday of all days and mine Friday of all days. Some of our close friends including Solenn refers to us as each other's wife, dahil sa pagiging sobrang close namin ni Bianca. 

"Babe, tingin mo enough na ito?" I said to Bianca, kami kasi ang bumili ng food namin, habang sila Solenn ay nasa grocery to buy booze.

"Ok na yan, babe." She said.

I went to the cashier of the restaurant to place my orders and pay them. Nanlaki ang mata nito ng sabihin kong gusto ko ng Tatlong 10 pcs. Bucket of Chicken at 20 pirasong sides each.

"Ah, hindi ako lang ang kakain niyan, we have a victory party to celebrate." I told the cashier kahit hindi naman nya tinatanong.

"Nagulat lang po ako Ma'am." She said and smiled. 

After kong bayaran ang mga inorder ko, I went over to the table where Bianca sat. She smiled at me and I did too. Hindi pa din ako makapaniwalang nanalo ang partido namin ni Solenn. I had a goofy smile on my face something Bianca took notice. 

"Babe, why are you smiling?"

"Nothing, it's just surreal Bianca, nanalo ako as President ng Central."
