Author's note

I don't remember how old I said Maya, Riley, Lucas and Farkle were, but just to clarify, they are 14/15. I might have put the wrong age towards the beginning if the story so I went back and fixed most of the errors. They are in the 9th grade. Sorry for the confusion.

Farkle's pov

People sometimes ask you what the best gift you ever got for Christmas is. I finally know the answer to it.

Maya's gift was the best thing I could ever ask for. But it's not because I got the latest issue of Space Werewolves, which I had been wanting to get forever, it's because it came from her. And I finally knew she was okay. That she was safe. Wherever she is.

Dear Freakle,

I hope you aren't worrying about me. I know for a fact that Riley is. I'm fine. I explained everything in her letter.

I just wanted to thank you for being an amazing friend, even if you were really annoying and weird. I always thought you were from another planet. I still kinda think you are.

Anyway, you were always there for me, even when I didn't want you to be. But I'm not a good friend. I don't deserve a friend like you, or like Riley and Lucas. I'm no good for you guys, especially Riley. It's about time that someone realized that.

Have a wonderful Christmas! Wish your alien friends a merry whatever-you-guys-in-space-celebrate!

Love Maya

P.s Space Werewolves is stupid.

I've never been more happy to be insulted by Maya in my entire life.
