Guys a lot of you commented on chapter 34 saying that it was showing up blank. Wattpad doesn't let me respond to comments, so couldn't answer you. I don't know why it's doing that. I tried everything to fix it, but nothing works. I've told a lot of you already, but for hose who don't know, I posted chapter 34 on my Instagram account (@meetingworld). Go read it now because I'll be deleting it soon. If I delete it before you had a chance to read it, tell me and I'll DM it to you. I'll will keep updating my story, so make sure you read chapter 34 before 35 and 36, or you might be a little confused.

Lucas's pov

No. Not her. Anyone but her. She didn't deserve it. She didn't deserve any of it.

When I arrived at the hospital i saw everything in slow motion. I saw Riley crying in her father's arms. No. I panicked. Was Maya alive? Did she-

I ran passed all the doctors looking for Maya.

"Where is she?" I asked frantically. I saw Farkle run in, his eyes open wide.

When he saw me he shouted:

"Lucas oh my god what happened?!"

I shook my head.

"I don't know..." I doctor walked by me. "Doctor! Where is Maya Hart? What happened?"

The doctor looked at me sadly.

"She's in room 212. She in some sort of coma."

I stared at him in utter shock.

"How...why...w...will she-?"

"We don't know if she'll wake up. That's up to her." He answered. He gave Farkle and I an encouraging smile, then walked away.

Farkle and I looked at each other. I felt like falling down onto my knees and bursting out into tears. My heart ached for Maya to have a wonderful life. I hope she wanted to wake up.

But know that I thought about it, why would she? I tried to see things from her point of view. Her father was in jail, her mother ran away somewhere and she isn't allowed to see her best friend anymore. She doesn't have anyone else.

An idea lit up in my head. No I was wrong. She did have someone else. She had me.

I was going to be there for her. I had to. I wanted to.

I spoke to Riley's parents and a few doctors. They explained everything to me. Maya wouldn't respond to Riley because in her mind, she should be staying away from her. And she obviously wouldn't respond to Mr and Mrs Matthews, considering they were the ones who wanted her to stay away from Riley in the first place. That left me and Farkle.

"I want to go talk to her." I demanded.

"Mr.Friar, you will most probably not succeed. She needs someone she deeply trusts and cares about. You said you have only known her for what? Four, five months?" Asked the doctor.

"I've known her long enough." I said, very annoyed by what he just said. "Time doesn't determine someone's friendship."

I glared at him.

"Very well. Go ahead."

I smiled sarcastically.

"Why thank you doctor."

Room 212 here I come.
