Riley's pov

~

Man, my family was weird.

Morgan stayed over at our house last night. I don't know why. I guess she was in the neighborhood.

"Good morning guys." I said as I came down the stairs.

Maya was already ready. Morgan sat at the table, with her jeans, a blue hoodie and a beanie.

"YO WHAT UP MOTHER F-"

"Morgan." Interrupted my mother. "she's 14 and I have a 5 year old son. Refrain from swearing."

I laughed.

"Mom I can say fu-"

"Riley." She said in a stern voice.

Maya grinned.

"Morgan, you think you swear more than I do?"

My aunt turned towards Maya, smirking.

"Oh, I know I do."

Maya stood up.

"Oh yeah?"

Morgan stood up.

"Challenge accepted."

Maya and Morgan started swearing at each other, cracking up and shouting every time someone used a good swear word.

My mother glared at Morgan.

"How old are you?" She asked.

"Turing twenty eight next week." She smiled at her sister in law.

"You act like a 16 year old boy."

Morgan laughed.

"Love you too Topanga."

Today was Valentine's day. Everyone was talking about the dance.

"Hey Freakle," said Maya. "Watchya doing?"

He sighed.

"Getting ready for class. We have a science exam today. I hope you studied."

Maya laughed.

"Yup. I sure did." she said sarcastically.

I grabbed her hand. "Let's get to class. We don't want to be late for the exam."

"Ugh. School." groaned Maya as we headed to class.

Missy approached me after the exam.

"Hey." she said.

Why was she talking to me?

"Um...hey."

She played with her hair and smiled.

"I love your shirt." she said noticing Lucas behind her. She smiled at him and he smiled back. He grabbed his books and left the class.

She turned towards me again.

"Listen bitch. Back off Lucas. He's mine. And he definantly doesn't like you."

I was completly and utterly shocked.

"Excuse me?" I said.

She smiled sarcastically.

"You heard me."

She turned around and walked out of the classroom before I got a chance to respond. I saw Maya, boiling with rage. She heard what Missy had said to me.

She looked at me, and then headed for the door, this fierce look in her eyes. I grabbed her arm, holding her back.

"Don't."

She was pissed.

"She just called you a bitch!" she shouted.

"Maya, she isn't worth it."

She took a deep breath.

"Fine."

She grabbed her things and left.
