-Sonic knelt down on one knee and tightened his grip on his right arm. It stung really bad and the blood was over flowing. He could feel himself getting lightheaded as he tried to keep himself from falling.
"You'll pay for that, Nack!" Amy yelled as she charged at him with her Piko Piko Hammer out and began attacking the group.
-Sonic felt Fleetway wrap his arms around him as he pulled him in. "You're going to be fine," He reassured. "I'll get you out of here while she distracts them."
-Sonic immediately shook his and tried pulling himself away from Fleetway. I'm not leaving her here! He protested. If Nack can shoot me then he can do something worse to Amy. He forced himself to stand up and looked around. I just need something to wrap around my arm before I bleed out.
"Fine, wait here," Fleetway turned and ran away, leaving Sonic alone to watch as Amy landed a hit on Bark and threw him back. Nack then cocked his gun and aimed it at Amy while she dodged Bean's bombs.
-Sonic then curled up into a ball and used his homing attack on Nack before he could shoot and threw him down the ravine. He landed on his side and noticed that while he was spin dashing blood had splattered across the ground. He looked as a pool of blood started flowing around him. He began panting and closed his eyes.
"Sonic!" He heard Amy scream before he blacked out.

"Wake up!" Fleetway yelled.
-Sonic opened his eyes and saw that he was in Fleetway's arms. He felt his right arm and was shocked to feel that the hole the bullet had made was gone. He tried pulling himself up and rubbed his head. "What happened?"
-Amy walked over to them and knelt down beside Sonic. "You turned into Fleetway...if he's the yellow one with red rings around his eyes."
-Sonic nodded and looked at Fleetway. Did you heal me?
"Yes, because that's what happens every time I take over your body," Fleetway explained. "Even if you don't have any injuries I heal your body anyway."
-Sonic looked behind him and saw that Bark and Bean had been tied up at a dead tree. He checked his surroundings and stood up. "Where's Nack?"
"You threw him into the ravine," Amy reminded. "I think he's..."
-Sonic carefully walked over to the ravine and looked down. He couldn't see Nack anywhere. "Are you sure? He's not there."
"What?" Amy walked over and looked down. "But I swear you threw him down there."
"Look out!" Fleetway screamed.
-Sonic turned around to see that Nack had appeared and knocked Amy down the ravine. Sonic whipped his head facing the ravine and without thinking he jumped in and desperately tried to reach out to Amy. Once he was close enough he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her in tightly. He waited for them to hit the ground but felt someone grab him and they stopped. He turned his head and saw that Fleetway was struggling to pull them up.
"You guys are too heavy!" He complained as he pulled harder.
-Sonic tightened his grip on Amy and flattened his ears. I wish you could just get Amy.
-Amy shook her head and looked directly into Sonic's eyes. She sighed in relief and started trembling. "I thought we were dead! How is Fleetway pulling us up?"
"He's barely got a grip," Sonic warned. He looked around and saw a ledge big enough for two people. Fleetway, can you bring us there?
"I can," Fleetway tightened his grip on Sonic and struggled as he flew over to the ledge. After setting them down he flew up at the top of the cliff and started rubbing his back.
-What's wrong with you? Sonic questioned. We weren't that heavy.
-Fleetway leaned over the cliff and smiled awkwardly. "I might've lied when I said my back was fine."
-God dammit, Fleetway! Sonic looked down at Amy and grabbed her chin to make her look at him. "Are you okay?"
-She nodded and pulled away. She pulled out the red and white Chaos Emeralds. "But I only have the two," She looked at Sonic with her eyes narrowed worriedly. "Please tell me you have the other one."
-Sonic stood up and started checking himself. He began to worry when he couldn't find it. "I don't have it!" He looked up at Fleetway and pressed his hands along the wall desperately. Where is it!?
-Fleetway stood up and looked behind him. "That weasel has it and he's untying the bear and bird!"
-Sonic looked at Amy. "Nack has it, but it's fine."
"How is it fine!?" Amy barked.
"I'm going to get you up there."
"How!?"
-Sonic knelt down and cuffed his hands in front of him. "Step on my hands and I'll launch you up there. It's only about six or eight feet."
"You better not let me down," She stood there for a few seconds before she ran and put one foot in Sonic's hands. Sonic braced himself as he threw her up as hard he could. He tensed when Amy grabbed on to the ledge and pulled herself up.
-Sonic sighed and hit his head on the wall. Fleetway, can you grab the emerald while Amy fights back? I'm going to get myself out of here. He didn't bother to wait for Fleetway's reply and tried to climb up. He managed to grab onto a small part of the ledge but it crumbled and he fell back down. He shook his head and jumped back up to try again.
-After falling back down three more times he growled and punched his fist into the ground. "God dammit! Come on!" He curled himself into a ball and started spinning. He stayed in one place for half a minute before he launched himself upwards along the wall and into the air. He collided with the ground and looked up to see that Nack, Bean, and Bark had surrounded Amy while Fleetway stood in a distance with the dark blue Chaos Emerald in his hand. He looked like he wanted to intervene but couldn't.
-As Amy moved her hammer for a swing Bark came in and wrapped his arms around Amy and pulling her into his chest. While Bean stepped back Nack popped his knuckles and smirked. "Time to say goodbye, girly. Your blue boyfriend can't save you now."
"I'm not going down without a fight!" Amy yelled as she smashed the back of her head against Bark's chin, causing him to let go of her. Amy landed on the ground and, with her hammer, she swung it behind her and knocked Bark back more than twenty feet. Amy glared at Nack and swung her hammer behind her head as she bent her knees. "You want to try this again, you grape loving weasel?"
"Bean," was all that Nack had said.
"Yes, Nack!" Bean replied as he lit a bomb and threw it at Amy. Amy merely hit the bomb with her hammer back at Bean and he just threw it back again and again.
-Sonic took this chance and tackled Nack away from Amy. When Nack tried to get back up and grab his gun Sonic knocked it out of his hand and pinned him to the ground, pushing his head further in anger. "You damn rat! I'll show you for harming her!" He lifted up his fists and started punching Nack's face from left and right. Blood started spewing out of Nack's mouth and some splattered on Sonic's face. Nack's face started to bruise and cuts were forming as Sonic continued to smash his face in.
"Stop it!" Amy screamed and pulled Sonic away from Nack.
-Sonic pulled away from Amy and glared at her. "What are you doing!? I had him!"
"You've done more than enough," Amy reassured, though her eyes expressed horror. "There's no need to do this."
"He tried to kill you!" Sonic snapped. "Let me finish him off!"
-Amy shook her head and grabbed Sonic's arm. She then threw him over her shoulder and pinned him to the ground with her foot on his chest. "This isn't like you, Sonic! What happened to mercy?" She sighed and took her foot off of Sonic. "Nack and his gang are done and it's time we got done, too. We don't need to harm them like this."
-Sonic stood up and was about to speak but Amy continued to talk. "Don't you dare try to defend yourself!" Amy growled. "Look at your hands and tell me you did something you thought was right!"
-Sonic snorted and looked at his hands. His heart sank when he saw that his gloves were soaked with Nack's blood. His hands started trembling and Sonic closed them. He then closed his eyes, flattened his ears, and bared his teeth. What have I done?
"Don't listen to her," Fleetway interrupted. "He had it coming. You should've kept going until he stopped breathing!"
-Sonic looked at Fleetway's stern expression and back at his bloody hands. I can't. That'll mean I'd turn into...you.
"What is that supposed to mean!" Fleetway lashed out in anger. "He tried to kill your girl. Why wouldn't you kill him!?"
-Because that's not how I roll. Sonic replied without looking at Fleetway. I can't let myself go into the dark side.
"You're a coward!" Fleetway snapped. "You always threaten your enemies with death but you never actually do it!"
-Sonic looked at Fleetway with an emotionless face, which made Fleetway flattened his ears and his eyes widened. Sonic sighed as he perked his ears and showed his hands to Fleetway. Fleetway, tell me...do you enjoy seeing someone else's blood on me? Tell me now. Fleetway was silent, however, Sonic could tell he didn't like the sight.
"Sonic?" Amy walked up to Sonic and placed her hand on his shoulder. "Are you...talking to Fleetway?"
-Sonic nodded. "And to answer your your question, no, I did not do the right thing."
"That's my hero," Amy sighed in relief. "Nack's still alive at least. Let's just get these emeralds back to Tails and find out how to get the three Eggman has."
-Sonic smiled and started walking. "Yeah, let's go," Amy walked over beside Sonic while Fleetway stayed behind them a few feet. His eyes were directed to the ground and his arms were crossed, his ears drooped over and he didn't have a good enough grip on the Chaos Emerald. What's the matter now?
-Fleetway didn't look up when he answered. "You care more about her than you do me."
-Sonic sighed and stopped walking until Fleetway was next to him. Don't be ridiculous, Fleetway. I care about everyone including you. Just because I don't agree with you all the time doesn't mean that I don't care.
"But why don't you ever agree with me?" Fleetway asked. "I'm your brother. We're supposed to see eye to eye."
-It's not that I don't see you eye to eye. Sonic explained. We're both unique individuals who see things differently. You seek vengeance while I seek forgiveness. Sonic then grined and wrapped his arm around Fleetway's shoulders. They are complete opposites, but you know what they say, right?
-Fleetway sighed and looked at Sonic. "Opposites attract?"
-Sonic nodded. Exactly. We may not always get along, but that's what makes us brothers; what makes us family and that will never change. Sonic pulled Fleetway in closer and rubbed his head against Fleetway's. I might not like your way of thinking and you don't like mine, but who are we to change each others thinking? It's how we get moving in life: our inner core.
"I guess you're right," Fleetway muttered. "But you're going to leave me."
-What do you mean?
"You have Amy," Fleetway reminded. "You'll leave me alone with her by your side," He then shrugged his shoulders to get Sonic to let go and walked on ahead.
-Fleetway, come on! Sonic then decided not to bother him and went back over beside Amy.
"Things going all right?" Amy asked.
-All Sonic did was shrug his shoulders and crossed his arms. "You can never really avoid trouble can you?"
"Trouble will always find you no matter what," Amy replied. "It's a fact of life and you can't just get rid of it."
