My Caring Evil Twin

Chapter Twenty-nine

-Sonic and Fleetway had joined everyone in the Acorn Kingdom to celebrate their victory in saving the world. They were all in the dining hall where they feasted their hearts out. Sonic was sitting in between Amy and Silver while Fleetway sat in between Shadow and Tails in the opposite side of the long table. While Silver was talking to Blaze who sat next to him, Amy had asked Sonic a question.
"Did you find him a girlfriend already?" She giggled.
-Sonic stopped eating and looked at her. "Maybe not a girlfriend, but a friend that's a girl."
"Really!?" Amy's eyes lit in excitement. "Did you get her name?"
"I believe she said her name was Maggie Lewis," Sonic replied as he started eating again. "She seemed really nice."
-Amy pondered for a bit before she spoke again. "I know her!"
"You do!?" Sonic asked in shock.
-Amy nodded and pulled out her phone. "We work in the same building. We don't really have the same job, but every time we're on break in the lounge we always talk."
-Sonic blinked in confusion and started scratching his head. "How old is she?"
"Only two years younger than me," Amy replied as she set her phone down and looked at him. "So about...twenty-four or twenty-five."
"Then I don't really need to worry," Sonic laughed.
"Why?" Amy narrowed one eye at him.
"Fleetway was going on about how she looked so young," Sonic explained. He then giggled as he shook his head. "Thought she was probably younger than eighteen."
"I thought that at first too!" Amy remarked. "I don't know if it's the make up, but she really looks like someone who's in high school."
-Sonic nodded and looked at Amy's phone. "What were you doing?" He then pointed at it.
-Amy looked at her phone then back at Sonic. "I asked Maggie if she saw my boyfriend and his brother," She then grabbed the phone and started going through it. "She didn't really know who you were until I said Fleetway's name and she was all like 'Yes I met him this morning!'"
"Did she say anything about Fleetway?" Sonic asked.
-Amy nodded as she said directly at her phone. "She just asked me what he's like because she thinks he's..." She then coughed and looked at Sonic while making a huge smile.
-Sonic started chuckling and looked at Fleetway as he continued talking to Amy. "He was worried people would see him as a freak."
"I didn't see him that way," Amy reassured. "Just seeing him next to you, I knew he was your brother."
-Sonic sighed and looked back at Amy. "Tell Maggie if she wants to know more about Fleetway just come to our house."
"Is Fleetway going to live with us now?"
"I think he's staying with Shadow," Sonic frowned as he placed his elbow on the able and set his head in his hand. "He did say before he didn't want to be a bother to us. But since she knows you I thought why not have her come and then maybe I get Fleetway to come?"
-Amy didn't say anything else as she started typing in her phone.
-Sonic continued to eat when Silver caught his attention. "Sorry for eavesdropping, but are you actually trying to get Fleetway a girlfriend?"
-Sonic shrugged his shoulders. "I just wanted him to make his own friend so he has the experience."
"I wouldn't rush it," Silver advised.
"Yeah, but Fleetway's been invisible to everyone for too many years. I don't wanting him sucking up to just you guys."
-Silver just nodded and went back to eating as Blaze continued to talk o him.
-Sonic looked in front of him and saw that Manic and Sonia had come over and were talking to Fleetway. He had the back of his seat turned to Sonic as he was focused on talking. Sonic hadn't been listening since Manic and Sonia got here, but he heard them saying things like how they were family and that if Fleetway needed anything he could always talk them.

-One month passed and Fleetway had been in touch with Maggie since Amy gave him her number. Fleetway had also decided to go back to the small hut that he and Sonic were living in the first place. After hearing this, Sonic didn't know whether to be happy or something else. Sonic remembered Fleetway said that he moved out since he noticed how close Shadow and Rouge was and how he didn't want to be a bother; the same thing he said about Sonic and Amy.
-Amy was at work so Sonic was left alone to watch TV. He had his phone beside him as Fleetway was messaging him. Since Sonic was able to talk to Fleetway telepathically he would respond to him that way every time Fleetway sent him something. While keeping his eyes on the TV, he grabbed his phone when it buzzed. He then looked down to see what Fleetway said.
Maggie wants to hang out,
but I don't know.
I'm uncomfortable.
-Sonic rolled his eyes and started giggling when Fleetway sent another text.
I know you're laughing jackass!
-Sonic dropped his phone of the couch and flattened his ears. The fuck, Fleetway!? He then grabbed his phone again and saw Fleetway's new text.
I know you better than anybody.
So don't make fun of me!
-Gosh, all right! Sonic rubbed his forehead and looked back at the TV. Just go with her. It can't be any worse than me stabbing myself to save you and defeat the bad guys. He looked down at his phone again.
Yeah,
but I don't know anything.
-Oh, you don't know anything after saying a few months ago that I must approach a woman's house with some kind of gift? Sonic mocked him.
Will you shut up!?
This is me we're talking about.
I only know how to help others,
not myself. 
"Oi!" Sonic shook his head and laid down on he couch. "Why are you such an idiot?" He then sighed and tried thinking. Just go anyway. This way you can connect in person and not through phone service. He looked at his phone.
What do you mean connect!?
-I mean like how you and Shadow made a connection and became friends. It doesn't need to be anything weird like what you're thinking. He then heard a knock at the door and sat up. Hold on a minute. There's someone here. He stood up and opened the door slightly. He was shocked when he saw a light blue hedgehog wearing a brown hood, brown hiking gloves and boots, and a bow and arrow set. His eyes were green and he wore a friendly smile.
"Good morrow, Sonic!" He greeted. "Where is my cousin? I must ask her to journey with me."
"Hey, Rob!" Sonic smiled and leaned on the door. "Amy's not here. She's busy at work."
-Rob had nodded while he glanced at Sonic. "Have you finally gotten together with my cousin?" He smirked. "It's about time."
"Ha ha! Very funny!" Sonic said sarcastically. "What did you need Amy for?"
-Rob fixed his hood before he answered. "My family name has been challenged, and as a king I must answer to keep our honor."
-Sonic tilted his head to the side and shook his head. "I don't think Amy can go with you even if she left early. It's been three months so her wound has healed, but she was warned not to do anything dangerous until one more month."
"I see," Rob frowned. "I was hoping she would join me. Well then, it was nice seeing you, Sonic. Take care of my cousin!" He turned and started walking away.
-Something made Sonic go after him and grab his shoulder. "I could go with you," Rob turned and looked at Sonic. "I might not share your blood, but we're going to be family sometime in the future at the rate I'm at. Let me come."
-Rob Smiled and patted Sonic on the back. "Of course you can! I would be most honored to have you journey with me."
"Can I bring someone with me?" Sonic asked. "My brother needs experience with things and I think this would be good."
"Sure you can! The more the merrier."
