-Sonic, Amy, and Fleetway were all walking around in the mountains to find the other Chaos Emerald Eggman had not yet received. Sonic held the dark blue Chaos Emerald while Amy held the red one so they could find it. Fleetway was walking beside Sonic but was looking at Amy. Sonic noticed that since Amy joined them Fleetway hadn't taken his eyes off her. Is there something bothering you? He finally asked.
-Fleetway shook his head and looked at Sonic. "No, I'm just wondering why you suddenly got together with her so quickly."
-Sonic sighed and grined as he looked at Fleetway. I honestly don't know myself. After you saved me and just left...I guess I really needed someone. He looked back in front of him just in time to stop himself from walking off a cliff. He looked at the emerald as it started glowing and started lowering his hand down the cliff, which led down to a ravine. The emerald brightened and he waved at Amy. "Down here!"
-Amy ran after Sonic and looked at him confusingly. "Down where?"
-Sonic pointed down the cliff. "Down here."
-Amy's eyes widened and she shook her head. "You're not going to..."
"Since when am I not going to?" He chuckled and leaped forward and fell down the cliff.
"Sonic!" Amy screamed.
-As Sonic neared the ground he curled himself into a ball and did a spin dash that caused him to go into the ground. He untucked himself and pulled himself out of the hole and looked as Fleetway flew down to him. "Man that was awesome!" Sonic yelled while he was starting to feel light headed. He started giggling and dusted himself off. "Let's do it again!"
-Fleetway shook his head and rolled his eyes. "You're fucking delusional."
-Sonic stood up and turned around when Amy skidded down the cliff carefully. She ran at Sonic and started patting his body. "What's wrong with you!?" She screamed. "Why are you always doing stunts like this!?"
"You never complained when you jumped off of Tails' plane over a hundred feet in the air," Sonic pointed out as he removed Amy's hand from his body.
"That's---that's different!" Amy justified. "I was saving you! In this case we're just trying to find an emerald. There's no need to pull stuff like that."
"Sorry to worry you, but you know me better than that!"
"I do," Amy sighed as she pulled out her Chaos Emerald and started walking around the ravine. "Let's just find it before someone else does."
-Sonic coughed and followed Amy with Fleetway right beside him. Fleetway looked at Sonic as they were walking. "You haven't jumped off of a high place in a long time. Why would you do that without the experience?"
-Who cares! Sonic answered. If I could swim I would jump off a plane a thousand feet in the air an land in it.
"You'd die from the impacted," Fleetway pointed out.
-Let me live in my fantasy where I don't die. Sonic huffed and walked faster so they could catch up to Amy. He went right next to her and pulled his emerald out when it started glowing brighter. "It's around here," He said as he stopped and looked around. "But where?"
-Fleetway then flew over and moved a big boulder out of the way and revealed a white Chaos Emerald. He grabbed the Chaos Emerald and hand it over to Sonic. "Here."
-Amy tilted her head and walked up to him. "So this is Fleetway?" She held her hand out and started waving it as her hand phased through Fleetway's body.
-Sonic walked up to Fleetway and grabbed the emerald. "Yes, this is him," He then grabbed Amy's and and pushed it down. "By the way, you're just waving your hand through his body."
"Thank you!" Fleetway relaxed as he stretched his back upwards. "That gets so uncomfortable!"
-I bet. Sonic chuckled as he looked up at the cliffs. "Uh...how do we get out of here?"
"You should've thought of that before you jumped in here," Amy huffed. She pulled out her phone and sighed. "No signal. We'll have to look for some kind of ledge to climb on."
-Sonic nodded and looked at Fleetway. Can you fly and look for someway to get out?
"On it," Fleetway then flew out of the ravine and started looking around.
"Come on," Amy said as she started walking.
-Sonic followed Amy and started looking around. All they saw in the ravine were steep cliffs they couldn't climb and it bothered Sonic. Sonic hurried up and stood beside Amy. "I don't see any way out."
"Neither do I," Amy sighed as she stopped and looked at Sonic. "Where's Fleetway?"
"I asked him to go above and look."
-Right then Fleetway flew back down. He shook his head as he walked over to Sonic. "No way out. Can't you just run up these cliffs?"
-What do you mean run up these cliffs? Sonic tilted his head. That seems impossible.
-Fleetway then slapped him across the face and hissed. "You idiot! I mean with your speed!"
-Sonic started rubbing his face where Fleetway slapped and glared at him. Was that really necessary!? But yeah I get it. He looked at Amy and motioned her to him. "I'll try running up the cliffs."
-Amy crossed her arms and narrowed one eye. "Do you plan on holding me while you do that?"
"Yeah," Sonic replied. "I've caught you in mid-air before. Why question me now?"
"I don't know. It just seems..." Amy didn't bother to finish her sentence and walked up to Sonic. "Let's just get this over with."
-Sonic wrapped his arms around Amy and picked her up bridal style. "Whatever the lady wants," He backed himself up all the way until his quills hit the wall of the ravine and he he looked at Fleetway. If anythings happens get ready to catch me. I haven't run up buildings in years. Fleetway nodded and watched as Sonic bent his knees. He tightened his grip on Amy and looked straight up. "Hold on tight," He felt her grip tightened and he ran with his super speed up the ravine. When Sonic got to the top he set Amy down until his foot slipped on the edge and he fell back down.
"SONIC!!!!!" Amy screamed as she stared down.
-Fleetway then flew up and grabbed Sonic before he hit the ground. "God damn! You're getting rusty at these things."
-Sonic looked at Fleetway and grined. "Quite talking to me like I'm an old man. I'm just out of practice," He looked up and saw Amy looking down from the top. "It's okay!" He yelled. "I'm fine!" He looked at Fleetway and flattened his ears. "You mind?"
-Fleetway rolled his eyes and carried Sonic to the top and set him down beside Amy. He stretched his arms out and stared at Sonic until he looked at him. "You owe me two things now."
-Sonic tilted his head and crossed his arms. Two!? What was the other one?
"I saved you from Scourge, remember?"
-Nuh-uh! That doesn't count. I told you to run.
"It still counts!" Fleetway smirked as he flew over and wrapped an arm around Sonic's shoulders.
-Sonic giggled as he looked at Fleetway. Nah. You lost that when you slapped me.
"Bull shit!" Fleetway gently shoved Sonic and glared at him playfully. "That was me slapping some sense into you, so technically you owe me three things!"
-Sonic chuckled and turned his back on Fleetway as he started walking to Amy. Fine, I guess there's no point in arguing. But getting everyone to see you is one of the things.
"Fine by me!" Fleetway cheered.
-Amy then ran in and hugged Sonic tightly. "Don't do that ever again!" She cried out. "You scared me!"
-Sonic hugged her back and ran his fingers through her quills. "Sorry...again. At least Fleetway caught me, though."
-Amy pulled back from the hug and nodded. "Let's hurry and get these three emeralds back to Tails so we can figure out how to steal the rest from Eggman."
"So, you two have three Chaos Emeralds then?" A voice spoke before Sonic could.
-Sonic turned around and saw three people behind them, however, Sonic already knew who they were and sighed. He recognized the purple weasel, Nack, the green duck, Bean, and the yellow polar bear, Bark. They always got on his nerves every time he saw them. They annoyed Fleetway as well but that was just because he never took them as seriously.
-Nack pulled out a gun from his belt and pointed it at Sonic. "Hand them over, pincushion!" He demanded.
-Sonic crossed his arms and tapped his foot impatiently. "Or what? You gonna shoot me? Throw dynamite at me? Silently hook me in the gut?" He smirked when he noticed that all three of them had lowered their guard. Somehow his words had gotten into their heads. "Wow! It doesn't take much to get under your skin!"
"What!?" Nack barked. He straightened himself and bared his fangs in a snarl. "Don't think you can just underestimate us, you freak!"
"Throw all the insults you want," Sonic muttered. "Just know I'm not underestimating you; I'm overestimating," He stifled a laugh when he saw Nack's angry expression.
"Sonic," Amy whispered. "Let's just go. We mustn't waste anymore energy."
"What energy would be wasted?" Sonic jested. "They ain't nothing!"
"Please!" Fleetway interrupted. "I don't want to be looking at their ugly faces!"
-At least they can't see you. Although, they would probably run in fear if they could. Sonic giggled but Fleetway's face showed that he was annoyed. Sonic shook his head and turned around. "All right, Amy," They all started walking when a loud bang sound from behind and Sonic felt a great amount of pain in his right upper arm. He saw something shoot forward and bounce on the ground. He reluctantly looked at his arm and saw blood flowing down to his glove, turning it red and pink. He grasped his arm and glared behind him at Nack. "You asshole!"
-Nack blew the smoke out of his gun and smirked. "I told you to hand over the Chaos Emeralds. Now we're going to kill you!"
