MANY OF VALENTINA'S nights after work were now spent at the studio with Queen. She had become good friends with them, and that's what she was telling herself it was between herself and Roger – friendship. She believed that if they were just friends, she could enjoy his company without thinking she would catch feelings for him and get hurt. However, everybody else could see that there was something between them, it was blatant with the flirty banter they exchanged, even if they didn't realise they were doing it.

Emilia had been begging Valentina to let her meet Roger soon, but she would just reply "we're just friends. I've spent a few nights at the studio with them. It's no big deal" and Emilia would roll her eyes and drop the subject. But a few nights a week turned into every night and soon it had been exactly three weeks since her first visit to the studio.

Valentina was currently lying back across the small beat up sofa in the studio, a cigarette hanging nonchalantly from her lips as she watched the boys sing and play their instruments. She was surprised when another blonde woman walked in, and embraced Freddie in a tight hug. There were often a couple of random girls at the studio, but Valentina had never met this woman before, and she seemed to know them all well.

She looked familiar, and Valentina spent a few moments trying to place where she had seen her before. It was at Biba, with Emilia. She helped her friend pick an outfit for a date weeks ago.

"Valentina, this is Mary, my fiancèe" Freddie introduced her, as the small blonde woman smiled. Valentina had not known that Freddie was engaged. He had mentioned a woman a few times, but she didn't realise how serious the relationship was.

"Mary, this is Valentina, Roger's friend" Freddie said, and she could tell by Mary's expression that she assumed that he meant that they were more than friends.

"Nice to meet you Valentina" Mary smiled sweetly.

"And you. I believe I've met you before however, in Biba. You work there right?" Valentina asked.

Mary smiled, "yeah I do."

"I love your ring by the way, it's very beautiful" Valentina said, her eyes catching the shining silver ring that sat delicately on Marys ring finger.

"Oh, thank you! Fred picked it out himself, he has very good taste" she giggled slightly and Freddie grinned.

"Wow, he certainly does" Valentina grinned.

Mary joined her on the sofa and the two carried on chatting for a while, they got along well.
"He's a very talented singer, isn't he?" Valentina asked as they watched Freddie belt out notes.

"Yes, he is" Mary smiled fondly, which in turn made Valentina smile.

"How long have you two been together?" Valentina asked, as her eyes moved from the boys to Mary.
