Rachel's POV

Carter Commercial Properties, why didn't I make the link earlier. I should have known that Daniel Carter owns the entire world. He just had to be in the same city as me. The same place where I decided to start afresh and make new memories.

I am pacing up and down my office. I am pulling my hair as well. I had to endure that humiliating and awkward moment of revealing that we had an encounter. When I read the name of the company, I thought I was being paranoid and this company had nothing to do with Daniel Carter.   

But of course it is a subsidiary of Carter Enterprises. It is now clear that Mr Carter is stinking rich. Being in the audit profession we meet a lot of these fortune 500 CEO's and It's just that I never pictured Daniel to be one of them due to his annoying attitude.

 I don't need distractions right now. I need to focus on building a good reputation for myself in this office.  I made a right decision by withdrawing myself from this audit.

And that guarantees that I will never see that arrogant jerk again. 

He has been here for a few minutes and he has already frustrated me.

Let me just go and have lunch at the canteen and forget about this whole situation.  I did not picture my first day being like this at all.

 I am so distracted and I don't even look where I am going. Somehow I trip on my own feet and I am bracing myself for the impact of my fall.

But it doesn't come and I can feel that I have landed on someones arms.

I slowly open my eyes and I close them again. "No this is not real."  I blink a couple of times but  the image that I am seeing is not disappearing.  I am actually staring at Daniel's face and I am in his arms. 

" Angel eyes, you can blink as much as you like. But I am here. And this is not a dream,it is real happening"  My heartbeat accelerates at the sound of his voice.

Just when I thought my day could not get any worse.
