It's Me And Not You

Dan's POV

Today is Friday and that officially makes it a week since I laid my eyes on the gorgeous Miss Smith. Last Friday, she disappeared into thin air. I could not even find her anywhere and I didn't  get a chance to apologise to her for my rude comments. I even stayed for the Saturday torture session, hoping to see her. 

I have not slept properly the entire week. I have been restless and daydreaming about her. John has been helpful in providing me more personal information about her. 

I will admit I have viewed both her Instragram and Facebook accounts a couple of times. I even downloaded one picture into my phone.

The only info I didn't like was her relationship status on Facebook.  " In a relationship with Shawn Thorne."  When I look at Shawn's pictures he looks familiar like I have seen him before. I just don't seem to recall. I have changed places so many times due to my business. But I hope for my sake that Rachel is not serious about Shawn. The fact that he didn't even bother to accompany her on Friday says a lot. If she was my girlfriend I would want to spend as much time as I can with her.  

What frustrates me the most is that I would have to fly atleast 3 hours to going to Rachel's town to see her. If I were to start a relationship with her, logistics are just going to be a nightmare. I hate long distance relationships. 

This is actually sad, here I am thinking about logistics for a woman that does not even remember my name. What happened to me? I used to have any girl that I wanted?

"Danny my man, what are you still doing in office on a Friday afternoon?" I look up and I see my best friend Jason walking in my office.

" What were you day dreaming about, I have been here for at least 2 minutes and you didn't even notice me."

" Why are you here?" I joke with him.

" Is that a way you welcome your friends now Danny boy?" He says and  I meet him half way in my office and give him a hug.

" I was hoping to catch that hot CFO lady you hired last year, what is her name again ?"

" You stay away from my staff, you hear me Jason. I know how you treat women." 

"'Oh come on, I am change man now" He winks at me.

" Anyway, I am in town for a couple of days. We are shooting a scene for the new film here.  I bumped into your parents during lunch today and they told me that you are single now and you spend all your time locked up in this office.I promised them I would rectify the situation with immediate effect. We are going to hit some clubs tonight."

" I am really not in the mood Jason."

"' Maybe, you misunderstood me Danny boy. That was not a request. John is waiting for us downstairs. We are taking you to your apartment to change." 

I have not seen Jason in long time, maybe this wont be so bad and it might take my mind off Rachel for a few hours at least.

"Fine, lets go."
