Nick never came back that night. And to think that I was so worried about him.

That night, memories splashed in my mind. Memories about my past... About him.

In the 5-minute, stupid decision I made, my life had been a roller-coaster. Of freakin' emotions.

Then I remembered that I still owe him a week since I ditched him even though we are not yet finished with our contract.

I rubbed my face in frustration.

I was so d-mn stupid.

My head turned to the direction where my phone is at because it started vibrating.

I answered it once I saw the caller's name: Toby.

"Hi, love."

Just hearing his voice, can make me calm.

"Hey."

"So, how is everything going on in there?"

I sighed as I recalled what happened just minutes ago.

"It's fine... I just got a little... distracted. But, I'm fine." I tried to keep my voice steady and calm but it came out a liitle hoarse.

"Are you sure? You don't sound okay."

"I told you, Mr. Overprotective, I'm fine. Just a little tired though. Where are you?"

I heard him chuckle.

"At home. I left Kathy to your parents. I need to get back to the Philippines tomorrow, I will meet a very important client there."

A certain ache flowed in my heart. Aalis na naman siya?

"Ow.. Well, have a safe trip then." My voice came out like a whisper - the very same voice I keep on using if he would go away - It's coming out like a habit.

"Love, c'mon. You know that I have to do this. You also know that I'd choose you if I don't."

I sighed. I know he is telling the truth.

"Okay, okay. I believe you. Just be safe, okay?"

I could feel him smirking. "Okay love. It's late and I know you're exhausted. Matulog ka na."

I smiled. "Yes dad." I said, teasing him.

He slightly chuckled. "I'm serious, Kassie."

"Fine. I love you, Toby." I said with pure sincerity.

"I love you more. Goodnight love."

"Night."

Then we both hung up.

This. Is. Bad.

I keep on getting bad angles and I know that they are getting tired.

I'm sorry for being distracted! The person infront of me has disrupted my mind and now look what it has done with my body.

"This is getting nowhere. And I'm sick of looking at that same bikini. Let's get you changed!"

I sighed as I made my way to them.

As I approach my stylist, she is handing out a hanger for me that has my outfit - a red two piece suit.

And that's a no go.
