I opened my eyes and saw black. Everywhere I turned to, is black.

"Toby?"

I shouted, but my voice just kept on echoing 4 times.

I began go run, I don't know where, but I felt like I had to run. Away from this place, away from the darkness...

"TOBY!" I called out again.

Akala ko ba ililigtas niya ako? Nasaan na siya ngayon?

I kept on running even though hindi ko makita ang dinadaanan ko.

Tears started to flow down on my cheeks. Ganito na lang ba palagi? Ako na lagi yung iniiwan? Laging nag-iisa?

I kept running and sobbing until an image flashed in my mind. It was Lance.

Then there was something standing not so far from where I am. Or someone.

There was a little light above his head and his clothes were all white. Parang siya lang yung tanging umiilaw sa mundong ito. Whatever this world is.

I narrowed my eyes and walked to the man standing. He's back is facing me.

He turned a little, making his head turn sideways and I knew that familiar face. Kahit na nakatagilid lamang ito.

"Lance?" I asked but he started walking away.

"Lance!" I shouted and started running towards him pero parang ambilis niya kahit naglalakad lang siya. Bakit ba ambilis niya?

I kept on running and shouting his name when I saw him pass a weird, circular, portal. It's shape is like of a galaxy's. It's weird so I was hesitant to go.

But someone was calling me on the other side. I backed away, ready to succumb to the darknes again when the voices became so much clearer.

"Kassie!"

"Clear!"

"Kassie!"

Was that Charm's voice?

"Kassie! C'mon!"si Ands ba yun?

Turning back, I saw the white portal again, pero ngayon lumiliit na ito.

"200 joules!" Sino ba yun?

"Stand back! Clear!"

Papasok ba ako? Kaya ko ba 'to? Kaya ko ba ulit harapin yung lahat ng sakit? Is it all worth it?

"Kassie! Fight! Please..." I hear the voices of my friends again. They were hoarse.

"Ate Mama..." that voice...

My siblings... Andito sila.

Nakakahiya. Kung babalik ako, I'd face them with lies. Hindi nila dapat malaman ang lahat. I don't deserve their pity.

I backed one step. Kaya ko ba 'to?

Then I remembered Lance's face...

The portal is getting smaller. I only have one chance...

"300 joules!"

Is it worth it?
