Lance's POV

I know that I've been a douchebag and a d-ckhead for quite sometime, but you can't really blame me.

Call it stupid, but I have trust issues.

Ever since Kassie left, I have a hard time trusting people, especially her.

But clutching the brown envelope in my hands and the white sheet of paper in another, there's one thing I know I have to do.

I can't let my family run away, again.

Kassie's POV

"Are you ready, Kassie?" Mom asked me for the hundreth time.

I sighed exasperated. "Yes, mom. For the hundreth time- yes."

Ofcourse, I was just exaggerating.

She smiled and hugged me. "Sorry, hun. Its like your being taken away from me once again. I know, I'm exaggerating but you really can't blame me. Your taking the light of the house, away."

I gave her the are-you-serious look.

"Mom, me and Kathy are only gonna be gone for a month." I said.

She pouted. "It's still, long."

Dad came by behind her and snaked his hands around Mom's waist.

I've really been jealous of this two. Really.

"Leave our daughter alone. You and I both know that they need a vacation."

I smiled at Dad.

Thank you.

"And you and I need some time, alone."

Mom's eyes were as wide as saucers.

"Richard!"

I think mine was too.

"Daddy!"

Mom playfully slapped his arm.

"You just came out of the hospital! Maybe this time, I'm the reason for you going back in there!"

Dad looked at mom, brows up. "Because of doing what?"

"The attempt to kill you!"

"Oh, sweetheart." Dad moved closer to mom. "If you'd kill me with your love then I'd willingly die."

Yhup. I'm jealous, alright.

This is what you would call a perfect relationship.

"Ahem! There's another person here!"

That broke them off from their trance.

Really, this two could build their own bubble in just seconds.

Mom blushed, embarrased. Dad chuckled and at the same time my daughtrer came in, running.

"Hey baby girl." I said as I picked her up and putting her in my hip. "You ready?"

She clapped her hands excitedly.

"Aym gonna fwy! Yesh, yesh!" I chuckled at her.

We said our goodbyes to Mom and Dad and went off.

We arrived at the airport, an hour early. So we checked in and waited.

I gave Kathy my phone for her to be entertained.
