Cherie's POV:
Freddie was pacing up and down the hidden hallway as I fixed my hair back in place. He was really freaking out and I was trying my best to be the calm one. In all reality, I should have been the one panicking, but I guess my mind was still replaying our hot sex session.
"They're still out there!," Freddie informed me, when he came back from peaking towards the door of the restaurant. We were downstairs now and hiding from the bright lights of the paparazzi cameras.
Freddie finally stopped pacing and sat down on the steps of the staircase. Sitting beside him I wrapped my arms around his waist and laid my head on his shoulder.
"I really am sorry, Angel. If..if it wasn't for ME, you wouldn't have to deal with this...," I looked up at him only to see he looked a nervous wreck. His lip kept twitching over his teeth and one of his legs was impatiently tapping away.
I reached up and touched his cheek, making his eyes meet mine. "You don't have to apologize, it's not your fault. Besides, I've already put you in a couple of less than ideal situations. I'm not complaining over this," I snickered in an attempt to hear his laugh. But he didn't. He looked just as worried as before except this time his eyes were trying to read mine.
"We'll never get out of here..if we don't leave now. These people will stay all night..," he spoke softly as if thinking out loud.
Wanting to make him feel less guilty I suggested, "Well, be my shining knight, Papi. We can do this. We just have to walk passed and get to the car...we'll run them all over and the evidence will be smashed," I said with a small playful smile on my lips.
He grinned at me and rolled his eyes giggling. Ah, that's the sound I love to hear. He grabbed his sunglasses and put them on me. Then he slipped his jacket over my head. "Wait- Freddie, no. You need to cover your own face from the cameras- not mine!," I argued, trying to hand him his stuff back.
"Angel, they already know my face. I don't want these pictures to come back and bite you on the ass...it's fine. I don't care what they say about me. If anything they'll boast ticket sales for my shows...," he explained back to me.
I guess he's right. This is how his life works, as sad as that is to not have any privacy. I guess you kind of sign up for it when you're a celebrity.
Hand in hand, we slowly crept along the walls towards the main door of the place. Yep, there was no doubt that they were waiting for us.
*click*click*click*
The flashes started all around us when they spotted our heads peaking out. Great, perfect mug shot. There goes Freddie's attempt to shield me. He must've figured there was no other way around it now, he grabbed my hand roughly in his and put his other hand around my waist squeezing me to his side. "Look down, and just keep walking, shove if you have to...I'll get us out of here..," his face was still riddled with worry, but nevertheless he opened the door quickly and started walking forward at a fast pace. Though, my head was down, the lights flashing all around us was making me dizzy. I had no idea how Freddie was dealing with the bright flashes of light. People were surrounding us now. Calling out Freddie's name, asking who his "lovely date" is, asking for autographs, asking why he was in such a rush. Freddie ignored all of them. I felt someone yank at Freddie jacket, which was still on top of my head- but not for long. Someone snatched it off of me and without thinking, I looked back to see it in the hands of a photographer, "smile for the camera, lovely," he said. That's when I seen Freddie arm reach over me and smash the mans camera to the ground. "Hey, man, you're going to pay for that!," the man angrily tried to charge passed me to approach Freddie, knocking my sunglasses off in the process!
We finally made it to the car and Freddie basically pushed me down into the seat as he got in and quickly started the car. "Shall I run them over then?," he grumbled. He was angry. His ears were even bright red, he looked like he was absolutely fuming!
Beeeeeeep! Beeeeep! Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!
Freddie pounded on the horn, trying to warn everyone to move away from the car. It wasn't until he drove forward a bit that they got the message. Pulling out of the parking space, Freddie raced down the street. My guess is he didn't want us to be followed. I looked out of the back window and sighed with relief when I didn't see any headlights behind us. "We're good, Freddie. No ones following...," I informed him, but he didn't give up speed.
I'd be lying if I said his new mood didn't frighten me. He didn't say a word, just kept driving forward. We weren't going in the direction of my house so I wondered where else he was taking me. Not that I was scared of Freddie- no far from it. I just didn't like the tension in the air.
Finally, we pulled up to a hotel and Freddie got out and handed the valet the keys. By the time I opened my door, he was by my side, offering me his hand as I stepped out of the car. I took it and he all but ripped it off as he pulled me with him into the lobby and then into an elevator. We were silent for a moment and I watched as the many floors ticked by.
"Is this where you're staying?," I asked, hesitantly.
I wouldn't have gotten an answer if it wasn't for the fact that I was staring at Freddie while he looked at the floor. A simple nod was the only response I got.The doors chimes open and we stepped out into the hallway. There was only one door and Freddie used his key card to let us in.
"Wooooah woaaah, where have you two been!," a drunk Roger slurred out to us as he laid out on the sofa in the center of the room. I blushed as he whistled and clapped his hands. I seen John give him a good slap to the back of the head, and Roger quit his howling.
Freddie never stopped walking and pulling me with him. We got to what I assumed is his room and quickly walked in. Once inside, I watched as Freddie huffed and shook his head, pulling his shirt off and throwing it on the ground. I walked up behind him and pressed my cheek against his back, while my hand rubbed small circles in his chest. I felt his body instantly relax in my arms and he let out a deep sigh.
"I know you don't want me to apologize, Angel. But that's all I have to say right now...I..I feel like I ruined our night...," he said turning to face me. His eyes looked so sad, I just wanted to attack his face with kisses. So..that's exactly what I did. I placed quick kisses all over his face from the top of his head to his nose, both cheeks, his chin and finally his mouth. Freddie's giggles rang out loudly as he held me tightly. I love hearing him giggle!
With a smile plastered on his face he scooped me up and threw me on the bed tickling my sides. And there we were laughing like maniac at 4AM.
Freddie stopped attacking me and laid out on the bed next to me. "I have to leave in a few hours..." He spoke so softly I almost didn't catch what he said. I rolled to my side to face him as he stared up at the ceiling. I scooted my body closer against him and laid on his chest. "I'm going to miss you SO much," I said just as softly.
Freddie turned to face me now and we just stared deep into each other's eyes. He placed his lips on mine in a soft tender kiss. "Do you want to get changed into my pajamas?," he asked.
I got up off the bed and nodded my head. Freddie found me one of his shirts and I felt his eyes on me as I slipped out of my clothes to put it on. He pulled the covers back and laid himself in between the covers. I followed him to bed and snuggled next to him. He wrapped his arms around me tightly, "I don't want to leave you..," he whispered in my hair.
"Come back for me...," the words escaped my lips as my eyes started to droop sleepily.
"I will, darling..," he breathed out slowly.
And the last thing I heard was his sweet, velvet voice singing me to sleep.
"My loveeeee,
She maaaaakes me....
She is my heaaart...
She is my looove..."
