chapter 4

Mwahahahaha! Surprise! I finally got away...barely...got away from my mistress named Lazy, so I can give you guys an update. *loud sigh* Hopefully, it's good enough.

In the middle of the silent and soulless night, Yoohyeon shoved her phone into her rucksack after she checks for the time. It was seven after midnight. She took a few deep breaths before slowly tiptoeing down the stairs and then toward the main door.

"Sorry, JiU. I'm gonna sneak out for a bit." She whispered to herself. Slowly, she unlocked the door and pulled it open bit by bit. The light at the front course automatically lit up by the presence of a person. She locked the door,  slides on her sneakers and jogged to the front gate.

She slid the gate to the right, causing the tiny rocks underneath it to let out a crushing sound, annoying than usual. Her breath halted as she whipped her head to the back, observing the main door for a few seconds in case the monster has been woken up.

Few seconds passed and nothing happens, so she stepped out and decided to let the gate open until she comes back. There was no moon at the sky, only some stars twinkling far from each other and looking at the almost empty sky gave her chills as she suddenly shuddered.

'Alright, let's go.' She thought to herself, unfortunately, her legs won't cooperate while her eyes just staring down the empty road. The deafening silent, chilly wind brushed against her body and a flickering street light made her consider her decision for seven thousand six hundred and fifty-four time.

She gulped hard. "Come on Yoohyeon. Don't be scared now." She slapped both of her cheeks and started making her first step. Halfway through her second step, something dropped on her shoulder before she froze, slowly turning into a marshmallow.

She instantly slapped the thing on her shoulder away and crouched down, hugging herself while crying out. "JiU! Help me! I'm about to get killed! I'm sorry!" She said, turning herself into a ball as much as possible.

"Tell me just one reason why I shouldn't kill you."

Yoohyeon's head stood up immediately upon hearing that voice. "JiU!" She gasped and latched on to her legs. "Thank goodness. Did you see it?" She asked while looking around.

"See what?" JiU asked, affected by her sister's action as she also looking around.

"The thing that tried to kill me?" She said, looking into her eyes.

JiU rolled her eyes before she smacks her sister's head. "That was me you dumbo." She said.

"You tried to kill me!?" She exclaimed.

'My god. Just give me some cancers or anything in exchange you increase her intellect even by ten percent.' JiU prayed in her heart while facing the night sky.

She then bored down to Yoohyeon's eyes. "Yes...I'm about to kill you and you know why."

She confused by her older sister's answer. "Why tho?" She asked, smiling while showing her dimples but it was not long before the realization hits her. "Freak..."

And it was JiU's turn to flash a smile, empty smile.
