"Yep. He's dead." Someone cuts her off from behind before she can finish her sentence, so she turned around.

She saw two familiar faces causing her own face to instantly tenses up. "SuA..." She muttered her old friend's name under her breath and averted her gaze to another person beside her, a boy that full with a sinister aura surrounding him.

Although the boy was grinning at her, she still couldn't help but feel uncomfortable like trapping in the dark forest with the predators that can see her clearly.

She wanted to get out of that suffocating place to breathe properly away from all the air that makes her drown further but she can't simply leave the unconscious boy alone and furthermore, she needs some answers from the two.

She took a deep breath and steeled herself as long as she could. "What do you mean he's dead, Yonggeun." She asked, staring into his intimidating eyes.

He chuckled before crossing his arms on his chest. "Dead means dead. That thing doesn't take any unwanted guess kindly, you know." He said and pointed to the school. "It can absorb human energy just in seconds." He added.

JiU scoffed. "So, you guys know about that thing are you?" She asked, looking at SuA as she just looks at her expressionless.

JiU has a lot of questions to ask her old friend. She feels like to shout at her face, shake her or beat her up for what she did but she knows that was not the right time to do all that, so she remained calm.

"About the missing students, is that also true?" She asked and was hoping all of that was just a prank.

SuA was still looking at her with no emotion like a mannequin without any features carved on its face. "I think you're smart enough to figure out whether it's real or not by now after you've seen what happened to Yoohyeon." She answered, crushing her hope completely.

"Damn it..." She mumbled and feels weak every second of the time she spent there. She took a deep breath and decided to get out of the school area. "I don't have time to deal with you guys." She said, turning around and grabbed the unconscious boy by his arm before Yonggeun stopped her again.

"Are you gonna take the corpse with you?" He asked. "Seriously?" He scoffed in amusement.

"Just leave him here. We can take care of it for you." He offered.

JiU heard the offer like candy on her tongue, it sounds so sweet in her ears at that moment as she stopped and loosened her grip, letting the boy slowly falling on his back again.

"We can burn or bury him somewhere." He then started chuckling.

"You're on your own with that." SuA intervened.

"How can you say something like that?" JiU said in a low tone but enough for the two to hear. "But I'm glad you said that. It reminds me of what you are." She added.

"Don't you feel anything about the missing students if you know what is happening all along?" She asked as she already fully standing with the boy hooking his arm around her neck. "And I'm not that weak to fall for your poisonous words." She glared at Yonggeun.
