One peaceful month had passed in a blink of an eye. Working on their lives days by days gave them no time to realize how fast the time had flown.

Geoul, JiU, and SuA became closer to each other every passing day. Although those two girls were still cutting each other's throats, he would be there to stop them.

That was supposed to be Yoohyeon's job but she was busy with her new club and activities so he had no choice but to monitor the two older girls in her place.

Of course, he did that not for free. Yoohyeon promised to invite him to their house for dinner every weekend. Doing that would lower his monthly expenses so he straight up agreed.

As for Handong, she went missing every time the school ended. She would hang out with them during break time but when JiU or SuA invited her to go somewhere after school, she always declined.

The others were curious and also worried about her but they didn't want her to think that they were a busybody if they asked or inquired about it.

That's why Geoul was waiting for her after school that day. JiU and SuA still had some school activity so it was a perfect chance to talk to her without any interference.

He stood beside the front gate, leaning against the concrete wall as he waited for her to come out. Not long after that, he saw her walking down as she waved goodbye to some other girls.

He straightened up his body and was about to walk to her before he saw another boy comes jogging and started talking to her. He has a pretty good looking face.

Geoul pursed his lips as he waited until they finished talking. "Popular, aren't you?" He commented, eyes still observing them.

That boy was gleefully talking to her while doing a couple of random hands movement. He even blocked Handong when she tried to walk past him.

Geoul sighed loudly before clicking his tongue. He wouldn't bother interfering if it wasn't for the look on her face. She was neither smiling nor showing any kind of pleasant expression.

Well, time to kick that unknown character out of this story so he walked toward Handong. One hand in his pants pocket while the other one was holding his school bag over his shoulder.

"Hey, Handongie. You're going home?" He greeted her, stopping at her side.

She smiled upon seeing his face. "Yes, actually no. I need to go somewhere."

The other boy looked at him, feeling unsatisfied with how kind Handong treated Geoul compared to how she treated him. Totally losing his cool, he pushed Geoul's shoulder quite roughly.

"Yah, can't you see I'm talking to her?" He asked coldly.

Geoul turned his attention to that unknown boy. "Ah, I can see that quite well, to be honest. That's why I come here."

Handong chuckled. He was talking straightforward as usual if it wasn't about himself.

"Dong-ah, you know this guy?" The boy asked her.

"Yes, of course, he's my friend so I'll take my leave now and please, don't call me that." Handong bowed her head and nodded to Geoul.

Instead of letting thing to quietly end, he grabbed her arm out of nowhere. "Yah, I'm only asking you to hang out. You don't have to be rude."

"I am not. I'm rejecting you politely, didn't I?" She said, correcting what he claims her to be.

She tried pulling her arm away but the boy's grip tightened. Her face immediately changed sour. She had an idea this time won't be easy to get him away as she normally does.
