==========
JiU was walking home from the school with Geoul following a few steps distance behind her.
'She said she wanted to ask something but she's been quiet the whole time.' He thought while observing her.
After a few more minutes of silence, they arrived beside the neighborhood park before she went inside and sat down on a nearby bench.
"So...what do you want to ask?" He started, sitting on the bench arm on the opposite side from her.
She unhooked her back from her neck before answering. "How's your arm, by the way?" She asked, looking at his left arm.
He swung it around. "Yeah. It's all good now." He said.
"I forgot to say this before so thank you." She leaned her back on the bench spine.
He chuckled. "Really? Did you forget? Wow." He said, smiling while looking to his side.
Her face became red. "Hey! You better stop before you get hurt." She threatened. "It's good enough that I show my gratefulness to you."
He stood up straight and stretched all his joints, letting out a satisfying groan. "I believe that was not the only reason you want to talk to me while being all serious." He said.
She got up from the bench and crossed her arms on her chest. "Alright. I'll go straight to the point then." She said as he just waiting for her to go on.
"Hearing from those two annoying people, that thing is dangerous but how could you survive?" She was curious because of his attitude.
The thing that happened last night was giving her a big impact on her feeling. It looks and sounds so unnatural to her yet he's acting as nothing happens at all. It seems like he already used to it.
"I don't even know. Lucky call I guess. My luckiness is God tier you know." He replied casually but it failed to fool her completely.
It was too tiny and thin but she could feel the secret behind his words. Putting that aside, his breathing was normal, his eyes didn't even shake and his face was clear as a mirror, so she got to give it to him for lying normally like that.
She decided not to push it for now. "And another thing." She said and still looked at him with her stern eyes.
"What? Stop staring like that. It makes me nervous." He admitted but she just ignored it.
"Why are you decided to help me? SuA and Yonggeun might know it was you last night." She said.
He looked up to the sky for a few seconds. "Let just say I have my reason and who cares if they know it was me. It will get more interesting if they do." He smiled.
She sighed. "Did you realize what situation we are in right now?" She asked, feeling frustrated by his answer.
"Kind of?" He replied, looking at her as he tried to hide the amused smile behind his confused face. Teasing her once in a while was not so bad.
Her jaws just dropped without letting any voice come out. The amount of frustration coming from him was unbelievable. She rubbed her temples to let her brain becomes active and clean again.
After observing her in that state for a few seconds, he snickered. "I know what situation we are in right now okay?" He spoke, causing her to look up to his face.
"And trust me, it will be more dangerous than last night so you better take care of yourself." His voice and surrounding felt completely different to her.
"Don't let anything happen to you before you can save Yoohyeon. That's the important thing." He said while not even blinking an eye.
JiU couldn't think of anything to argue with him when he becomes serious and logical like that. All she could respond was with a nod.
He huffed out. "Okay then. All cleared now?" He asked.
She thought for a moment before answering. "I guess." She shrugged. "At least for now." She smirked while raising one of her eyebrows.
He shot her a bored face. "Ha ha ha." He faked a laugh. "That won't scare me." He said.
She grinned and grabbed her bag from the bench. "Hah! We will see but for now, let's go." She turned around toward the park entrance.
"Go where?" He shoved his hands into his pants pockets and followed behind her.
"We need the info about that creature, so somewhere with a lot of books will do." She told him.
"I doubt that kind of book exists." He said, totally dismay her suggestion as he was not really sure about that.
She snapped her fingers and giggled slowly. "That's why I decided to go to Lost Time Library." She said.
"Library is a library." He said boringly.
She suddenly turned and reacted with an overdramatic gasp. "You don't know that creepy library at the end of this town? Are you new here perhaps?" She shot him double questions.
"Yeah, I don't know and yeah, I'm new to this town. I transferred last year, the first year of high school." He said, rubbing the back of his head.
She grabbed her waist. "Well, you are a lone wolf kind of guy so, not surprised if you know nothing." She turned back around and continued walking.
He scoffed as she walks away. "Know nothing? Me? Ah, this girl..." He mumbled to himself. "Hey! Minji!" He ran after her and stopped just in time to step back before he can bump her as she turned around abruptly.
"That's dangerous you-" His sentence got cut midway by her cold gaze.
"But whatever you do, never touch the books in there with your bare skin because if you do..." She slowly walked toward him, pushing him back step after step.
"You will fall into a deep sleep...forever."
