Chapter 7

Yoohyeon vanished in front of her eyes just in a blink of an eye like a rock thrown into the sea. She could just slowly stretch her hand to the front while mumbling her name.

"Yoohyeon..." She said, slowly crawling toward where her sister was earlier that has been replaced with the growls, getting louder every second.

She doesn't have any awareness of her surroundings anymore except her sister. She just sat there, waiting to be devoured as well.

Her eyes became empty like an empty glass. "Yoohyeon...I'm coming..." She mumbled without any senses as the growls getting closer to her.

She closed her eyes, feeling all her energy has been sapped out of her body. The world around her was spinning in a circle at an amazing speed.

She was on the verge of losing her consciousness when she suddenly feels her body dropped against the hard cement floor, slowly gaining consciousness as she heard the growls backing away.

She opened her eyes and saw a person's legs standing in front of her. "What the hell are you thinking!?" The person yelled at her, a male voice around her age.

"You wanna die!?" Said the boy as he crouched down to look at her, wincing lightly while holding his left arm.

She doesn't care anymore if the boy is harmless or not. Her gaze still fixed on the growl a few meters away in front of them.

"Yoohyeon...because of me..." She said. "I need to...accompany her." She added, devoid of any emotion.

The boy grabbed her tender shoulders and squeezed it really tight. "Look here." He said as she slowly turns her head, looking at his face.

The only part that visible to her was his mouth as his hoodie and darkness of the night covered most of his face.

"Yoohyeon is still alive. She is just not in..." He stopped what he was about to say. "This side of the world." He continued nonetheless.

"That's why I need to be by her side," JiU replied.

He huffed out. "This girl will be the death of us." He said and looked back. "And that thing already recovered. Tch!" He let out his annoyance.

"No choice then." He said before raising his hand and smashed it across her face.

*PAP*

He then lifted her face to make her look at him again. "There. You make me a scum now so you better listen." He said sternly.

"Your sister needs you. She needs you here on this side to help her." He told her.

"If both of you are in there, you're gonna die. That's why she needs you here for her to stay alive!" He raised his voice. "To save her!" He added.

She was frozen for a moment before the lights in her eyes slowly crawling in. "I will save her no matter what." She finally said something.

He nodded and pulled her up by the shoulders. "That enthusiasm is good, but there's nothing we can do now except not to get caught." He said while turning around to face the growls which have returned to how loud it normally was.
