Chapter 10

I started this story in What/Alone In The City Era, so the member's appearances, hairs and etc will be the same as that Era.

The next day, JiU started her day as usual except there was no one to be yelled at for taking the time to get ready, spilled the breakfast on the table or being loud that will make her ears buzzing from the inside.

She sighed before locking the door and went to school by bus. She was being quiet all the time on the way to the school but she still manages to greet back her schoolmates that greeted her.

"Where's Yoohyeon?" Said the tall girl as she sat beside her. She noticed the blonde girl was spacing out. "JiU? Are you okay?" She spoke again and succeeded to get her attention.

She turned her head to her right side. "Oh, Sowon. What is it?" She asked the worried girl?

"I'm asking if you're okay and where is Yoohyeon." She repeated her questions.

"Yoohyeon?" She said and stopped for a moment, to think some reasonable enough excuse about the absence of her sister that she will use. She knows that her friend won't be the last person who will ask that.

She smiled awkwardly as the lie slowly coming. "Sh-she is kinda sick, so you know, she needs some rest, yea." She lied while controlling her own up and down feeling, remembering what happened to Yoohyeon.

Luckily, Sowon bought her lie. "Oh, that's bad. I hope she'll get better soon." She said.

"I hope so too. Thanks."

The silent journey continued before the bus arrived in front of her high school main path. The students especially the boys instantly stood up and scurried out like the ants out of their nest.

Sowon parted way with her as she rushed toward her group of friends. She dragged her heavy feet toward the main gate slowly like a zombie.

'Come on, Minji. You can get through this.' She thought to herself and took a deep breath. She then marched forward with her spirit slightly lifted up but it doesn't last long when she saw two most annoying person standing beside the main gate a few steps in front of her.

"Kim Minji. Glad you're not late today." Greeted the boy with an inferior expression all over his face.

She doesn't feel like stopping but she didn't want to give them the satisfying of seeing her weak and run away.

"Mhm, glad to see you still don't have a life to stand here early in the morning like a broken statue." She shot back causing him to lose for words.

She could hear several students were whispering to each other, wondering if she did anything wrong because there are no Students Representative if there is no trouble.

She looked at the girl beside him. "Hope you're doing well, SuA." She greeted her.

She knows that was a sarcastic greeting but she still replied. "Yes, I am. No need to worry." She said.

"Nobody says I'm worried tho. See you guys around." She walked past them.

"Not so fast, Miss JiU." Yonggeun grabbed her arms and instantly got a daggered glare from her.

"Don't touch me if you don't want my elbow to land on your face." She said, snatching her arm off of his hand.

He couldn't say anything as they watched her go her way.

"Shit. That was unexpected. I just wanna ask about the boy who was with her last night." He said while scratching his head.

SuA chuckled. "Touch her again if you wanna die a painful death." She said and went her way, leaving him.

She decided to go to her sister's class before going to hers. She casually walked inside as she normally did every day and went to Yoohyeon's desk. She was looking and rummaging inside the table in case her sister left anything important.

No one was asking about Yoohyeon and the person that she thought will likely to ask was luckily not in the class that moment much to her relief.

The seat beside her sister's table was also still empty. 'I guess he skipped school after all.' She thought and turns her heels around to leave before any more trouble shows up.

"Holy macaroni!" She yelled and held her chest. "God damn it! I know you're good looking but people will still get a heart attack if you are standing behind them like that!" She said, huffing out a heavy breath.

The boy behind her didn't say anything, he just tossed his bag on the chair and looked at her, waiting for her to continue talking but instead, she was looking at several students who have their eyes on them.

"Did they know each other?"

"I can't believe she's talking with that creepy boy."

"I never see him talking to anyone tho. Hell, he does not even talk at all."

She stopped listening and look at him again. "Did you know some of them thought you're creepy?" She asked, giving him an amusing grin.

"You can hear them?" He asked, just visible enough for her to hear.

"You can say that and they are surprised that you're talking now." She informed.

'No wonder she knew I was observing them last night.' He thought and flopped lazily on his chair.

"I don't know but I can feel what their thoughts on me and I don't care, I'm trying to lay low anyway." He said and stood up. "Let's talk somewhere quiet." He then walked past her as she followed behind.

"Is that why you don't talk to other students?"

He just nodded.

'So, those two are probably the one who invaded the school last night, huh?" A woman thought to herself, observing JiU and the boy walking out of the classroom while leaning casually on the wall, pretending to check on her book.

"The question is, are they enemies or allies..." She said quite loud for the passerby to hear.

"Are you talking to yourself, teacher?" Asked a random boy student, giggling at her.

"Ah, yes. Just doing mental note to myself and now excuse me." She said and walked away, following the two from afar.
