The air was tight and there was not a single line of light can penetrate the dark and chilly room except the tall pillar at the other side of the wall, the opposite direction from the entrance.

The pillar was wrapped with some kind of lines embroidered on it. The lines painted in a difficult pattern like a maze with no exits and it was glowing in red like a living heartbeat.

In front of it stood a man, looking up at the pillar. A little bit shade of gray adorned his black hair and a peaceful smile laid on his face with his eyes closed.

After a few moments of silent admiration, the entrance slid open then walked in a young man wearing a neat suit. The young man approached and dropped down on one knee out of respect or perhaps fear.

"Yes?" Spoken the older man without turning around.

The young man couldn't prevent the big chunk of his saliva to wash down his throat first before answering.

"I got a report that one of our loyal members has fallen and his familiar has also been sealed." He said in one breath.

"Which one?" Asked the older man again and proceeded to turn around.

"Kang. The principal of the high school in the small city at the end side of Korea." He immediately answered.

The older man turned around facing the pillar again. "I see. I can feel the power surging inside this pillar so his death won't be in vain." He said, starting to admire it again as the lines keep glowing.

"What was the cause of his death? It is not easy to take him down given he has his familiar." He added another question.

"There's no fixed information, Sir but RAT was seen near that area." Answered the younger.

His superior chuckled. "Ah, RAT. Always slipping in our business without knowing what they got themselves into. Let them be our little entertainment for now."

The young man nodded. "Yes, Sir!"

"Anything else?"

Hesitation clouded him for a while but he had to answer the question nonetheless. "Black Rose was also witnessed in that city but her activities are still unknown."

A sigh escaped the standing man's mouth. It was not an annoyed one but more like a relief one. "If she is there then that only means one thing. He is also there." He said and patted the lower man's shoulder.

"This is interesting. Two of our three main Keys are in the same place. Well, just let our Trackers handle them. I'll let them know." He squeezed his shoulder and walked away toward the door.

"Keep searching for our last Key."

"Yes, Sir."

One week has passed since the bizarre occurrence happened, leaving the school buildings full of cracks and broken. It was impossible to step in without the feeling that the floor or roof might collapse.

The repair was already ordered by the mayor but it probably will take more than a month. Some students felt traumatic by what happened and some others just felt like nothing happened.

One week ago after the fog dissolved into the air, the polices and staff from the Search And Rescue Department came as RAT retreated themselves.

Quite a lot of students suffered minor injuries because of the quake and hits by the falling rubbles. Fortunately, no one suffered major injuries that could threaten their life.

As for the school, to make it operable as usual will be a little bit hard given the principal was nowhere to be seen nor located. His house and other places where he might be were all vacant so they gave up on that and focused on repairing the school first.

And for the unnatural phenomena that happened, they officially clarified it as a natural disaster and immediately announced it through all the available platforms of the news. That gave the inhabitants of that small city the gist of what actually happened.

"So, that's it. That sums it all up, I think." Said SuA, tapping all her fingers on her thighs as she told that to the boy sitting on a bed in front of her.

His hand wrapped with a blue cast with some doodles on it visible to the eyes. His head was also bandaged but it was white clean, signaling that the wounds probably all healed up.

"We got days off, then?" He said, boring down on her face.

She scowled to the side and sighed. "I wish. After all of what happened but no. We have to transfer to another school for the time being." She said, shrugging. "That's why I'm here this early morning." She added and moved toward the couch where her school bag was placed.

She took some papers out and handed them to him. "Here. The teacher asked me to give this form to you. We have to submit this if we want to transfer."

He didn't take it, he just staring at it. "I don't want to. Thanks." He replied short.

Her eyes widened as a gasp dropped on her face. "Ya! What are you saying!? School is important!"

Her voice forced him to cover his ear but with only one hand that was functional at that time, his other ear couldn't be saved. His face grimaced. "Fine! I'll fill it all later."

"Fill it now! I need to submit those later." She ordered and gave him a pen. "Can you write? I can help you if you can't." She asked before he could take it from her hand.

"My dominant hand is right so It's no problem. Thanks though." He grabbed the pen and was about to ask her for a book but she was already stretch one out to him.

He laid the book on his lap and started writing all the information the forms needed. The scratching sound began to echo in the room as no other source of the sound was produced.

She just sat there on the chair beside the bed he was on, observing his moving hand and sometimes glancing at his face. Since the flashback about her brother invaded her mind that day, she couldn't shake the feeling of him that feels really familiar.

"Finished." He gave the forms with the book to her and met with her dazed stare. "Ya, what are you looking at?"

She snapped back, smiling sheepishly and let out a decent laugh. "Oh! That's fast." She casually said but her mind cursed at how embarrassing that was.

She scanned the papers in her hands, learning the information that was written by him. Seconds passed, she hummed. "Your name is just Geoul? Family name?" She asked.

"Don't know. I don't have one, probably?" He answered, not sounding so sure himself.

That was the first time she saw someone without a second name so she stared at him for a while before moving on reading the forms. "Age 17. At least you have an age." She chuckled by her own sarcastic remark.

"Birthdate is December 3..." She trailed off the last part. "31? December 31, 1998..." Her grips on the forms slowly loosened up. Her breathing was getting faster and her chest started hurting before it rises up to her head.

Her sudden silence got his attention as he looked at her face. It turned pale and the forms were flapping in her shaky hands before it dropped down to the floor.

"Are you okay? You look sick." He moved closer out of the bed but she lifted up her palm, signaling she was okay.

Her look showed the opposite when sweats become visible on her forehead. Her mouth huffed out a big breath one at a time and he knows that was not normal.

"I'm sorry. I have to go now." She snatched the forms from the floor and walked a few small steps before she collapsed to the side. Luckily, he acted fast enough to catch her from hitting the metal bed frame.

Catching her with only one hand forced him to dropped down together on the floor. "Ya, what's wrong with you? Kim Bora?" He said her name and it surprised him for a moment of how that name feels so close to him.

In the middle of his panic, the door rattled open.
