Bus Station

The moment he regained his consciousness, he immediately grabbed his chest, groaning. His tongue felt dry like a dried leaf in the open sun. His throat was craving for water.

After a few seconds of the state like that, he shrugged it off and slowly got up from the old couch that he didn't even remember how he got there.

"Oh! You are awake?"

He raised his head by the voice to meet with JiU's gaze. Her face was tense and soft, imitating a newly baked bread. "You're here? How long I've been out?" He asked while fixing his position.

She sat down on the couch. "Uhm, not long. Fifteen minutes I'd say." She said. "I arrived and saw people were surrounding you laying on the ground so I asked some staff to bring you here in this security room." She added a quite long explanation.

"I see. Thanks." He said and stood up.

"Wait! What happened tho? Do you need to go to the hospital or clinic?" She asked while abruptly standing up. "I can accompany you." She offered.

"No, it's okay. I'm fine now. I was just startled by a rat passing by." He said and looked at her with a face that prevented her from asking anymore question.

She heaved a sigh before standing up and followed him. "Fine. If you say so. You can go home if you want." She said as they exited the empty security room that ain't supposed to be empty.

"What about you?" He asked.

"Well, I still need some space to think so I'll stick to the plan," she replied.

"I just hang around you for now given my eyes already wide open." He said, shoving his hands into the pockets of his coat.

They exited the station main building to once again be welcomed by the cold breezes of the night. They couldn't help but shiver lightly although they were being protected by their coat.

He scanned the outside area from the left and all the way to the right. He didn't see anything familiar that he can remember from the past of his life.

Maybe what happened earlier was all his imaginations but the pain that was engulfing him and the voice that he heard was really there. It felt and sounded so real which it couldn't possibly be his mind playing a trick with him.

"There's a bus. Let's go." She pointed, knocking him out of his thought.

Left-Wing side of the Town Center

They got off the bus and started walking around while admiring the night view of the vast city. The lights that were illuminating from the skyscrapers look like fireflies flying above the dark river.

Nighttime is just a name, it doesn't prevent people from enjoying their carefree life which couldn't be enjoyed in their daytime as they darted around here and there.

"Watching all the human here, who would've thought that our town is the smallest in Korea and isolated from the map," JiU commented out of nowhere.
