The Enterprise landed in the loading bay for some new recruits. Spock noticed that the captain seemed to be on edge this week, but he assumed that was logical due to the fact that he would have new crew members to look after and train properly. Spock, Kirk, Scotty, Bones, and other officers were there to greet the new crew members. Each one was introduced, but one person stunned them all more than a phaser could.

McCoy stood on Kirk's left side as Spock was on his right. Bones noticed Kirk putting his hand behind his back as he saw his hands have a slight tremor.

"For crying out loud Jim, it's just some new recruits, not an admiral," the doctor said quietly.

"There's just one I'm worried about," Jim muttered as a young woman with brown hair and eyes came forward.

"Alexandria Kirk," she said as she acknowledged the captain. The other officers gaped at their captain and the new Kirk.

"Permission to come aboard," Captain Kirk said as he saw her eyes. She nodded and walked behind the others.

A while later, the head officers were returning to their posts. Bones grabbed Kirk's arm as Spock stopped as well.

"Dammit Jim, when were you going to tell us you had a sister and she's joining the crew?" the Doctor stammered.

"When it became...relevant," he responded.

"How come ye didn't tell us about that lass eh?" Scotty asked as he caught up. Kirk sighed as he gave into the crew's questions.

"It is unlike you captain," Spock retorted. Kirk looked at his first officer.

"I didn't tell you all about her because I knew this is exactly how you would react. And she's my sister, anyone who would lay eyes on her, I well, I'll have to act like the brother I am, so... keep your hands to yourself," Kirk explained as he eyed them all.

"Ay sir. We understand," Scotty sighed as he left. Kirk walked away, leaving Bones and Spock.

"You think his sister has any funny embarrassing childhood stories of Jim she could tell us?" Bones asked the alien. Spock merely raised an eyebrow at the doctor.

"I'm sure that Miss Kirk knows plenty of stories about the captain," Spock said as the phrase 'Miss Kirk' felt strange as he said it. He wondered if he would be friends with this Kirk like he was with the captain.
