Chapter Thirty Four Final Chapter??

Spock and Alex broke the news shortly after to his parents since they were still on the ship. Of course Amanda showed more emotion than Sarek, but Alex even thought Sarek seemed pleased.
"So are you having a Vulcan or Earth wedding?" Sarek simply responded. Alex blushed.
"Oh I don't know, I haven't thought that far yet," Alex confessed.

The whole ship seemed to be in a better mood once everyone found out. Everyone congratulated them and kept asking when the big day would be.
"We don't have a date yet," Alex told Uhura on the bridge.

One day when Spock was eating in the mess hall, Bones sat by him. Alex was resting and looking up wedding stuff.
"So, decided on your best man yet?" Bones teased.
"Possibly."
"Possibly?" Bones asked.
"I have yet to discuss it with Alex first."
"Uh huh." Spock sighed.
"What is it Doctor?"
"Oh come on, everyone knows Jim will be your best man," Bones said.
"Actually, I had a different idea," Spock said as Bones raised an eyebrow.
"I'm listening."

Spock went to Alex's quarters after his shift. They had yet to move into one together.
"I've been thinking about who I want my best man to be," he announced as Alex looked up from a data pad.
"Really? Who?" She asked giddy.
"Well, since Jim is also a captain, I was thinking about having him do the ceremony since technically that is part of his job, and have Dr. McCoy be my best man," Spock explained as he Alex grinned.
"Spock, that's perfect!" She exclaimed as she hugged him. Spock actually smiled.
"What if we just had the wedding on the Enterprise? Then we wouldn't have to pick Earth or Vulcan," Alex suggested.
"That is logical," Spock agreed.
"Now we do need to pick a date," Alex droned.
"I do not mind when it is," Spock said as Alex looked at him.
"It's a shame we couldn't do it while your parents were with us anyway," Alex said. Spock raised an eyebrow.
"I might have an idea."

It was decided that the Enterprise would go to Earth to take Sarek and Amanda back since he was ambassador anyway. Then Spock and Alex would get her parents and have a small ceremony on the ship before Spock's parents would leave.

They had arrived by Earth and Spock, Alex, and Jim beamed down to meet their parents. It had been a long time since either sibling had been home. Jim introduced Spock to them as Alex got nervous.
"So this is the Vulcan you two kept talking about?" Their father George remarked. Alex blushed.
"Yes dad. He's Jim's first officer, and my fiancé," Alex revealed as her mother stared at her ring. Her parents were ecstatic as George went to get a bottle of wine.
"Finally! Bout time one of you two were getting married," George said as he got out glasses.
"So when's the big day?" Winona gleefully asked her daughter.
"Uh, well that's why we came," Alex began.
"Mr. And Mrs. Kirk, we have decided to get married on the Enterprise, and have Jim officiate the wedding. My parents are already aboard. We were hoping you would join us soon for the wedding," Spock explained.
"How soon?" George asked Spock.
"Technically we're on shore leave for a month," Jim added as Spock and Alex gazed at him. George looked the Vulcan up and down.
"I suppose we will join you when you give us a date," he said with a slight grin.

Sometime later ****

It was all arranged. The crew made up most of the crowd. Bones was grinning ear to ear as he was Spock's best man. Spock walked down the aisle and shared a glance with Bones and Jim as he reached them. Uhura was Alex's maid of honor. Everyone stood up when Alex came down. They decided to stay in their uniforms, but Spock thought she couldn't look more beautiful as she met him down the aisle. Spock's mother started to tear up. Winona beamed at her daughter.
"We are all gathered here today for something I'm happy to take part in. The union of Alexandria Victoria Kirk to Mister Spock," Jim said, staring at the happy couple. He said a few more words before getting to the vows.
"Do you Mister Spock, take Alexandria Victoria Kirk to be your wife, in sickness and in health?" The captain asked.
"I do," Spock said, grinning.
"Do you Alexandria Victoria Kirk take Mister Spock to be your husband in sickness and in health?" Jim asked her.
"I do," she said, trying not to tear up. Jim looked to Bones.
"Rings please," he said to the doctor as he got them out. Alex and Spock places them on each of their fingers, in complete happiness. Jim was beaming.
"Then I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may kiss the bride!" He exclaimed as music played. Spock leaned in and kissed her, his hand on the back of her neck. It lingered for a moment before everyone applauded and Bones said
"Get a room will you?" He teased as Spock and Alex looked at him.
Sarek and Amanda were beaming at their son.

The two Kirk's and a Vulcan became family.

The reception was held in a rec room on the Enterprise. Someone had gotten the DJ to play slow dance earth tunes as Spock and Alex danced. Bones found Jim by the bar.
"Makes you want to find someone doesn't it?" Bones sighed. Jim replied with a sigh.
"I don't think it's in the cards for me," Jim said regretfully as he downed his drink.
"Oh come on Jim. You're still young," he joked.
"Hm. I can only fly one ship at a time Bones."
"Too true," Bones agreed as he tipped his glass with Jim's.
"Nonetheless we can help them. Is Spock staying on the Enterprise?" Bones asked.
"As far as I know. Why, has Alex resigned without telling me?" Jim questioned.
"No. But something tells me it won't be just two for long," Bones sighed again.
"Please don't tell me she's pregnant already," Jim droned.
"Not yet. I give it a year," Bones said
"Hm. Nine months," Jim said with a cheeky grin as Spock and Alex finished a dance with a twirl.
"You're on," Bones replied.
Jim gazed at his sister and now brother in law Spock.

Note: Thank you guys for reading this story! Never thought I'd still be working on it a year later and with so many views!!!! I do have some ideas for a sequel, so this probably won't be the end of Alex and Spock! I just want to make another book so this one doesn't get super long. I thought an Enterprise wedding would be the best. After all, it is Spock. :) I may add more to this chapter at some point, but I wanted to post what I had written.
