Note: You're lucky I already had this written before my life got crazy, so I'm just posting this.

Sometime later, he felt her hand twitch as Spock opened his eyes. He stared as he saw her eyes open. She cleared her throat before seeing Spock, now standing by her side.
"Spock," she said as Spock sighed and held her hand.
"Alex..." Spock heard footsteps behind him and knew it was McCoy.
"Welcome back. They're calling you a hero now," bones grinned.
"You sure they have the right Kirk?"
"Yes it's you. You fought like hell out there. Jim barely had a plan before you went fires blazing through back to the ship." Alex grinned, though it hurt.
"Where is he now? Fighting off the Romulans?" Spock looked at Bones before answering.
"He's on his way. He had to talk to Martin and Johnson. You've actually been asleep for a day." Alex looked confused but closed her eyes.
"Bones, did you put me under?"
"I had to. From my experience, a Kirk never rests willingly. The Romulans were pretty harsh on you," he said slightly pained.
"They said it was because of my brother."
"I'm not sure that was all of it," bones said.
"Nonetheless, you're here now," Spock said.
"And I'm grounding you. No missions for a few weeks," the doctor ordered.
"Weeks?" Alex droned. The door then opened revealing the captain.
"What am I gonna do for a few weeks?" Alex protested.
"I'm sure you'll come up with something," Jim said as she looked at him. He grinned as he walked to his sister and Spock. Spock raised an eyebrow at the captain.
"That was some stunt you pulled," Jim said.
"You were taking forever as usual."
""Sarek was just about to get you."
"Well I didn't have time to wait for Sarek."
"You don't want to keep a woman waiting," Bones smirked.
"Especially ones that were kidnapped and tortured."

The three men shifted awkwardly for a moment as Alex tried to sit up. She grabbed her side.

"Ouch! Bones, did you really give me the hard stuff?" Alex winced as Spock touched her shoulder. McCoy came closer.
"Yes. I just gave you a fresh round too," he gritted through his teeth. Jim came right behind Spock.
"Guess they were harder on me than I remembered..." Alex's voice trailed off. Jim tried to give her a brave face as he noticed Spock glanced away.
"What... do you remember?" Jim asked, mostly brother more than captain. McCoy stayed behind, but eager for her response. Spock gave her a longing look.
"Just the usual torture you know. Mostly pain, they were upset it wasn't you they could torture you know, for better information," she sighed.
"But you got yourself out. I'm not sure if they didn't already got the better Kirk." Alex smiled weakly but grew weary. Bones shared a glance with Spock.
"Sorry to break up the reunion, but I need my nurse to rest so she can eventually help me fix other people," McCoy remarked. Jim grabbed Alex's hand and promised he would see her whenever he could. Jim stepped back and left Sick Bay.

Spock wanted to discuss the mind meld with Alex, but McCoy ushered him out. Spock was surprised to see his father outside of Sick Bay.
"Father," Spock said as he stepped closer.
"Yes, I wanted to see if Miss Kirk was alright?" Spock nodded.
"Yes she will recover in time." Sarek raised an eyebrow.
"Then why don't I sense that you're not content with that?" Sarek asked his son.
"May we discuss in my quarters?" Spock said as he glanced around. Sarek nodded and followed his son. The door shut behind Sarek as Spock turned to him.
"I was too... anxious to find out if she was alright... so I did a mind meld to her while she was in the coma."
"What did you learn?" He calmly said with an air of curiosity. Spock turned to him.
"I'm not sure that they did 'just torture' her father. I think they did something else." Sarek raised both eyebrows.
"What else..?"
"I'm not sure...but I still...care for her father. I, I want to ask her to marry me," Spock confessed. He felt some weight leave him after saying it out loud. Sarek took a moment to compose himself.
"So, earth wedding or Vulcan?" Spock was stunned by his father's words. He assumed he would have rejected it.
"I'm not sure yet. Father i didn't expect you to say yes to this." Sarek sighed.
"Spock, this woman saved my life once and two other men from Romulans, and I'm sure she's fixed you up at some point. Having a Kirk for a wife does sound logical to me," he said. Spock sighed in relief as he let slip a small smile to his father.
