Two Kirks And A Vulcan

Chapter Six

Spock found what appeared to be their lift. He pressed a button as it took him up. The door opened, revealing what he thought was the bridge. Oddly, no person was there commanding or even guarding. Spock took advantage and tried to contact the Enterprise. It only took a few wrong buttons to hear the captain's voice again.

            "Spock! What happened to Alex? We know they want to kill her because they thought she was me," Jim said too fast.

            "Alex is here, but was taken away and being questioned I presumed. I heard screaming..." his voice trailed off.

            "I'm coming down there Spock. Do you think you could find their transporter room?"

            "No captain. You must stay there. I will find her and go back to the Enterprise. It is clear they want Kirks dead apparently," Spock stated.

            "They're from the future Spock. And speak with their minds. I don't know their weaknesses..."

            "I successfully used the Vulcan nerve pinch on one and he became unconscious."

            "Perhaps your biological advantage could help us then," Kirk said as Spock nodded.

            "Indeed captain, but a phaser would be handy. I've only seen two life forms aboard this ship so far. I do not know how many are aboard."

            "They said their race was destroyed, so I doubt many are left," Kirk said. Spock turned as he heard footsteps. The alien appeared again with a weapon. A laser was shot as Spock darted out of the way.

            "Spock! Spock are you there?" Kirk's voice was heard as Spock avoided the attacker. The Skylar then shot the communications device as sparks flew in every direction.

            Jim no longer heard Spock's voice. He heard a commotion and then nothing.

            "What are we going to do now?" Dr. McCoy asked.

            "I'm going down there. Uhura, tell Scotty to meet me in the transporter room," Kirk ordered.

            "Aye sir," Uhura said as Bones walked beside the captain.

            "Jim, they said they wanted you dead! Spock said you should stay here," Dr. McCoy tried to reason.

            "My sister is down there Bones. I have to get her back," Jim said as his voice cracked.

            "Then at least let me come along," Bones insisted.

            "Fine. It sounded like she was in trouble."

            "Well then we better not keep her waiting," Dr. McCoy said as he joined him on the turbolift.

            The two joined Scotty in the transporter room.

            "What happened captain? The Enterprise took a mighty hit and someone said that Mr. Spock was taken," Scotty started to say.

            "Yes, and my sister too. But they really wanted me. Apparently in their near future, I destroy their race and so they want revenge," Kirk explained as they got on the platform.

            "Time travel? Ay this is trouble," Scotty replied as Kirk nodded his head.

            "Which is why I need you to come with me to their ship. We may need help figuring out their transporter room to come back," Kirk said.

            "Aye captain. I can do that," Scotty said as another officer came to work the controls of their transporter. Kirk, Bones, and Scotty got ready on the platform.

            "Energize," Kirk ordered as they soon disappeared.
