They all reached Sick Bay as Nurse Chapel greeted them. Spock introduced his parents.
"Oh it's so nice to meet you," Chapel said as Alex bandaged up Sarek's nose. The Vulcan nodded his head while he was being worked on.
"Likewise. I just wish it was calmer," Amanda said.
"Yes well I'm sure the captain and Spock can figure out who attacked your ship."
"I certainly hope so," Sarek said as his nose was straightened.
"Are you sure you can't remember what the ship looked like?" Spock asked.
Sarek looked at his son but Amanda spoke for him.
"Spock, your father has suffered a lot of head trama. Maybe a few hours rest and he could."
"I'm fairly certain it was no mistake on killing us. Even Vulcans still disapprove of your mother," Sarek's voice trailed off as he looked at his wife. Nurse Chapel came back.
"The Captain has a room for you two. It is near Spock's quarters since he thought you might want to spend some time together," the nurse said.
"Thank you," Amanda replied.
"I can show you the way," Spock said.
"I'd like to see you two tomorrow, but now you can get some rest," Alex said. Spock then shared a look with Alex before leaving.Spock led the way to their room. He pointed out his along the way. His parents then went in and Spock stopped at the door.
"Thank you Spock. I'll get your father settled and then perhaps I can come see your quarters," Amanda said.
"I don't need settling Amanda," Sarek said.
"Says the Vulcan with a broken nose, bruised ribs, and loss of blood," Amanda spat back. Spock caught Sarek rolling his eyes. Amanda looked back at Spock.
"I'll see you soon." Spock nodded and left. He went back to Sick Bay to see if there anything else he could do while he waited for his mother. Alex saw him.
"Thank you for helping my parents," Spock said.
"You're welcome."
"Is everything alright?" Spock asked. Alex sighed as she put down a hypo spray.
"Spock, Chekov said he saw you talking to Uhura."
"We are friends. I just had something to discuss with her."
"Just friends?"
"Alex, you have nothing to worry about."
"Really? I mean, I thought your father was in pretty bad shape and I had no idea what I was doing. McCoy still has more experience than I do."
"Nonetheless my parents are still alive. I believe you did your job." Alex sighed again.
"Do you even show emotion to your mother?" Spock looked confused.
"I don't understand what you mean."
"Spock, your parents almost died and you didn't even looked concerned!"
"Alex, showing emotion in front of my father... does not end well."
"Just leave me alone Spock. I've got to take over McCoy's patients now." Spock reluctantly left and headed for his quarters. He sat on his bed when he heard his mother at the door as he then let her in. Amanda looked around her son's room. She picked up the Titanic book.
"I don't remember you having this in your collection."
"A friend is letting me borrow it while I still cannot do missions."
"Jim or McCoy?"
"Jim's sister actually." Amanda raised an eyebrow.
"You have a new friend?" Spock nodded his head.
"She must like you."
"I'm not sure at the moment. She heard I talked to Uhura and she is most likely jealous, and thinks I do not show enough emotion."
"Spock," Amanda said as she joined him on the bed.
"You are half human."
"But with father around, I'm not sure I can."
"Spock, you deserve to be happy."
"It is difficult for me. I don't understand how you and father made it work."
"It's always a work in progress." Amanda gave the book to Spock.
"Keep reading it. Then watch the movie with her and don't make fun of it. It's pretty good for an old Earth film. I'll go tell her your father is resting," Amanda said as she got up. Spock held the book in his hands as he saw his mother leave.Note: Sorry for being sporadic, I've typed this up and can edit it better later. My puppy is taking a nap so I can update. 😂 I've had to copy and paste this so I'm sorry if something doesn't make sense.
