Two Kirks And A Vulcan

Chapter Nineteen

Alex just finished eating when she heard her brother's voice over the bridge intercom.

"Miss Kirk to the bridge. Miss Kirk to the bridge." Alex groaned and laid her head on the table and Chekov poked her shoulder.

"Are you gonna be okay?"

"Eventually. Why Chekov does my brother need me? Why not Bones? What did he do wrong now?" she cried of exhaustion.

"I dunno. I can come vith you."

"Thanks."

Chekov and Alex made it to the bridge. Alex raised her eyebrows when she saw Spock there.

"This better be important Jim. Why did you call me instead of Bones?"

"He's um, indisposed at the moment," the captain said.

"Doing what? Filling out patient charts?"

"If you must know, he's currently vomiting because he caught the flu, and so nurse Chapel is covering for him," Jim revealed.

"Glad we ate before hearing that," Chekov commented.

"Ok, but why is Spock here? He's not supposed to do missions."

"He's a consultant at the moment. A Vulcan ship crash landed on the planet below and so we are rescuing them."

"Okay."

"There's something else you probably should know. The survivors are Ambassador Sarek and his wife." Alex's eyes grew wide as she shared a look with Spock.

"Hence why the captain thought my assistance appropriate," Spock said.

"I've promised Dr. McCoy Spock will be in safe hands on the planet, and that you will accompany him down there, along with a couple security guards," Captain Kirk said.

"Yes sir."

Alex and the team went to the transporter room. Alex wanted to say something to Spock but wasn't even sure what to say. The landing party were beamed down on the planet. It took them some walking time before they saw the wrecked ship. Smoke was still coming out of it.

"There. That's their ship," Spock said as the security guards walked ahead of them. They all reached the ship when Spock saw someone walk out of it. His father came out with a bloody green nose, and bruises on his face. Clothes covered the rest of his body so it was unclear what other injuries he had.

"Spock?" he said confused as he stumbled. Spock ran to his father and helped him up as Alex got her scanner out.

"You've lost a lot of blood," Alex said as Sarek looked at her.

"That's only logical after a crash."

"Where's mother?" Spock asked. Sarek looked dazed for a moment as Alex held his shoulder for balance.

"Inside I think." Spock left his father and searched the wreckage.

Sarek looked at Alex.

"You look familiar." Alex stopped scanning him.

"My brother is Captain Kirk." Sarek raised an eyebrow.

"I did not know he had a sister."

"Well, he does. My name is Alex."

"Nice to meet you Alex. Though I wish the circumstances were different."

"Likewise, sir." A moment later, Spock came out of the ship half holding up his mother as she clinged to his shoulder.

"Amanda," Sarek said as he tried to stand up, but lost balance. Alex knew Vulcans didn't like to be touched, let alone by someone they just met, but she grabbed his shoulder to steady him.

"He took most of the impact," Amanda started to say.

"Let's get you to Sick Bay," Alex said as a security guard got out his communicator.

They were beamed aboard the Enterprise as Captain Kirk greeted them.

"Ambassador Sarek. Amanda," Kirk said as he tried to do the Vulcan salute. Sarek raised his hand weakly.

"Captain Kirk," Sarek said through bloody teeth.

"What happened down there?"

"Someone attacked our ship. It was too badly damaged before I could figure out who," Sarek said.

"Was it just one ship?"

"Jim, can we just go to Sick Bay before you keep interrogating them?" Alex spat.

"Oh yes, sorry. The captain in me took over," he said as he walked them out the transporter room. Alex and Spock helped his parents to Sick Bay. As Alex helped Sarek, she couldn't help but glance at Spock. She had just met his parents.

Note: So I've currently caught up posting what chapters I really have written, so I may need some ideas for what should happen next. I have a couple ideas of what I want to happen, but I'll consider anything anyone suggests! And thanks for the 1K views! Never thought I would get this far.
