Chapter Twenty Six

Alex could barely open her eyes. There were swollen and bloody after her visit with the Romulan. They kept asking her questions she refused to answer. She was left in the room so she had no idea about the other crew members. She peered open her eyes and looked at the ceiling.
"I could really use some help right now brother."

Jim Kirk sighed as Scotty gave his report.
"Whoever it is, has a damn good cloaking device. I canta tell who it is." Spock frowned as he stood by his captain.
"I cannot get any readings either captain," he gritted through his teeth. Jim shared a look with him.
"We'll get her back Spock. We have to." Suddenly, the ships door opened to the turbo lift. The captain and first officer turned to it.
"Jim I'm sick for five minutes, and I find out we had to save Spock's parents, and then you go and lose my best nurse?" McCoy yelled as he joined them. Jim shrugged.
"In my defense, my sister saved Spock's parents before she got taken."
"Indeed. She was sufficient while you were gone," Spock added as Jim nodded. McCoy sighed.
"Well I guess that's the good news? Where is she?"
"Trying to figure that out. Somewhere down there by the wreckage, but we can't do a scan on anything else, and no one has tried to contact us," Jim informed the doctor.
"At least you have it narrowed it down," McCoy whined.
"That's the spirit," Jim added.
"Can we please just go back to finding Miss Kirk?" Spock pleaded. McCoy grinned at him.
"Just call her your girlfriend already Spock."
"My parents are on board."
"So?" The doctor retorted.
"My father is old fashioned."
"Says the son of a Vulcan who married a human!" The doctor pointed out. Spock crossed his arms.
"Girls can we just stop fighting?" Jim said as he got between the two.
"If Spock plays nice."
"Only if McCoy will fix Alex once she is back on the ship. There's no doubt she'll be injured," Spock stated.
"Deal but please be a little more optimistic Spock," Bones said.
"Agreed," Jim added as Spock nodded.
