3. A disaster

James Dayton's P.O.V

Standing in front of my computer, I try to think. Really hard.

"Stop stressing." Dean says, throwing himself on my bed, a bad habit of him. I swear, one day my bed will fall with him on it.

He's like a child, jumping on it.

"How? How I can't stress? I don't even know where I'm going to take Anna and the date is in five hours."

I bang my head against my deck, trying to think. Not a thing that I do often.

"Maybe a park? Or the cliche date in a restaurant?"

"Yes. That's it." I jump and almost go and hug Dean. I must be stupid for not thinking at a restaurant, the most common first date. We could find more about each other.

And eat. The most important thing.

"Seriously? I thought you'll be more original." I shrug my shoulders and smile. It's the first time, it isn't supposed to be original.

"Yes. Now let's choose the clothes and the restaurant. Wait, I know one near me. We won't have to walk long and it's elegant."

"Good." He groans, already tired of my constant talking. "Now choose your outfit."

I go towards the closet, and I look to see if I have something formal. Something like a suit, or jeans. I normally wear shirts so this is a problem, but finally, after a few minutes of continues mental talking, I choose something.

"How is this?" Looking at Dean, I show him my outfit for the date.

Jeans with a simple black shirt. The restaurant isn't that luxurious but I still need to look acceptable.

I hope she'll like it.

Going to my phone, I send her a quick message.

Wear something elegant but casual. I won't say where we're going yet.

I press 'send' after looking at it three times, making sure I didn't write something wrong or I don't sound stupid.

Well, I can't do anything about the last part but I still try to sound okay.

"It's ok, it doesn't matter anyway. You have a few more hours, let's sleep till then."

Looking at him, I sigh and agree. Sleep. This sounds good.

Placing my alarm clock near me, in case I fall asleep, I go near Dean, beginning to play video games and to look at YouTube videos.

Yes, I'm almost 18 years old.

And yes, I am mature.

Without realizing, I feel my head hitting the pillow and me going into a deep sleep.
