He sighed countless times. He's sitting in his swivel chair, the only one in his office, and it seems like he feels bored even though there's work that needs to be done. Well, it was past 2 in the afternoon, but it was still early. Meanwhile, a person entered his office, smiling at him like a fool. He rolled his eyes when he recognized that person.

"Hey! What's that face?"

"Shut up, Luke." Luke just laughed at him as he comfortably sat in the chair facing him.

"I heard there's a party in your mansion." He tsked with that word. The party was the idea of his so-called stepmother.

"Tss, I don't f*cking care about that stuff. If they want to have that fool party, then go, as long as they don't bug me," he said. Looking at his face, there's a wave of anger. Bumaling naman sya sa kaharap. "I don't think you're going in here to hear my complaints."

Luke just smirked and said, "Don't worry, it's good news." Kumunot naman ang noo nya rito. "Remember the magazine you've been into? May modelong gusto kang makadate, and she's beautiful! Sexy, swak 'to para sayo."

"I don't know when and how you're doing match-making. And I'm not interested in your fools." He glared at Luke, and Luke just zipped his mouth. Natakot yata sa tingin ng binata.

"I'm just kidding. You're way too serious, you know? Kaya hindi ka nagkaka-girlfriend."

Sinamaan naman nito ng tingin.

"You wanna die?"

Tinawanan lang sya nito, pagkatapos ay tumayo naman ito saka may nilagay ito na isang envelope sa kanyang lamesa.

"That's the good news, bro." Kapagkuwan at saka ito lumabas sa kanyang opisina.

Mataman naman ang kanyang tingin sa envelope sa kanyang harapan, saka tuluyan nya itong kinuha ang laman. Seeing that piece of paper inside that envelope gave him a smirk. Matapos tingnan ay may tinawagan sya sa kanyang telepono.

"I would like to thank all of you for your presence here. The Verde Group is gladly welcoming you and has applause for the anniversary of the Verde Group."

The visitors started their applause and had a great time because that night was the 25th anniversary of Verde Group.

The woman who started the opening remarks is the second wife of the chairman of Verde Group, Mrs. Elaine Ani Monteverde.

"Oh, how great, Hon. How wonderful to see you on that stage." The chairman smiled and hugged her. Nasa isang lamesa sila, kasama ang iba pang mga bisita.

"Thanks, Hon." She smiled back at him. Kasabay ay umupo ito katabi ng asawa.

Natuon naman ang pansin nila sa mga bisita. Too many guests are gathered in their mansion; the venue is in their huge garden. Yung ibang guest ay nasa loob ng mansion, they saw the richness and classy style of its inside, while the others were talking about the business and such.

Yet, there's someone silently looking out the window, and in that room, he's the only one in there. As if he wasn't interested in what the occasion was. He was just standing facing the windows, drinking his red wine, and looking at their guest.

He rolled his eyes when he saw his stepmother smiling at his father.

Nakakunot ang noo niyang tiningnan ang mag-asawa. Sa halip na tumagal pa sa kinatatayuan nya, nilapag nito ang baso ng red wine sa isang mesa, saka pumasok sya sa isang hidden room wherein the passage was directly through the hidden exit of their mansion, na sya lang ang nakakaalam at ang ina nya—his father's first wife.

Nasa labas na sya ng kanilang mansion. He came through the hidden passage at napadpad sya sa isang malalagong halamanan. Malapit sa kinatatayuan nya ang highway.
