I finally reached the office. "Gonna be late, gonna be late, gonna be late!" I muttered under my breath, weaving through the sea of people as I  rushed to the meeting room. Juggling my bag and pile of files in my hands, I jerked open the door, panting. The soft chit chat in the room fell silent as every. Eyes fixed on me now as if I were some strange creature performing an unexpected act.  I flushed red, my dramatic entrance literally just won me every eye possible in a fifty-mile radius. I scanned the room quickly and my gaze easily spotted steve, he looked relieved to see me but at the same time angry.

"I am sorry" I murmured with my head low and walked to the empty seat beside steve. I sat down, ignoring Steve's gaze.

" Emergency...Really?" Steve raised his eyebrows. I dodged his question and decided to give myself a minute to catch my breath before I answer him

"I was at Harry's place" I responded gulping down the water.

His brows creased, "Harry... as in Prince Harry?".

" Yes," I replied opening my laptop.

" What!" his eyes widened in surprise. "You were with Prince Harry?"

"Yes, Steve,"

"Why? and How?... Please tell me everything,"

I grinned at his excitement " I will, but not here."

He scowled briefly before rolling his eyes. "Fine,"

" Why hasn't the meeting started yet?" I asked. The meeting was supposed to be started by now. I was surprised Richard hasn't shown up yet.

"Are we waiting for Richard?"

"No. One of the board of directors is yet to arrive,"

Man! How can he miss this important meeting? I get it if he didn't want to see my face but missing work just to avoid me is so low. My trail of thoughts stopped abruptly as the door opened. We all glanced at the door. A tall and beautiful girl dressed in a white business suit graced the entrance. I stare at her starstruck. Gosh, she is so beautiful. Her long black hair waving down in perfect curls. At the base of her throat, solitary diamond glints matching the single-carat studs in her ears. she looked well-groomed -one of those women who grew up with money and breeding. She walked gracefully to the seat like a boss lady. And I noticed every man in the room was gawking at her...and why not.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting" she apologized taking the seat just opposite me. I glanced at Steve, he was all in wide eyes and mouth popped open situation...To be honest I can't blame him.

" Steve" I whispered, nudging him slightly with my elbow to bring him back to reality. As our eyes met she smiled at me. I smiled back and I noticed the accurate color of her eyes, at first glance I thought it was blue but they were grey...Big grey beautiful eyes. How can someone be so beautiful?

The meeting started off,  Discussions flowed seamlessly as we delved into the details of our forthcoming project in New York. Presentations were made, analyses shared, and financial strategies meticulously outlined, each step bringing us closer to our collective goals.  The meeting lasted for two hours or so.

When the meeting ended, we all stood with handshakes all around. The room started to get empty, Steve And I were last to leave the room. Grabbing our things, we walked out of the room.

"I can't believe Brielle Holland is here," his voice laced with astonishment.

"Of course, she will be here, After all, she is one of the board of directors"

" Don't you know?" he stopped in his tracks.

" What?" I turned to face him. He moved towards me, looking here and there as if he was going to reveal to me the biggest secret of his life. " She is Richard's Ex-girlfriend" he whispered.
