I stood amidst the bustle of London Heathrow's arrivals area, my eyes darting nervously between the carousel and the crowds. I checked my watch for what felt like the hundredth time, waiting anxiously for someone from the company to pick me up.

I had sent my photo ahead as instructed, hoping it would make me easier to spot. Minutes stretched into what felt like hours, and with each passing moment, my excitement waned, replaced by a growing sense of impatience and concern. Where were they?

Finally, relief washed over me as I spotted a figure in the distance holding a sign with my name. A young man in a smart suit, looking slightly flustered but friendly, met my gaze with a reassuring smile.

"Somya, right?" he called out, waving the sign.

I nodded eagerly, feeling a rush of gratitude as I hurried over to meet him. "Yes, that's me. Hi, I'm Somya"I couldn't help but notice how good-looking he was—tall, slim, with bright blue eyes and a charming smile that revealed dimples.

"Let me help with your luggage," he offered.

"No, it's okay, I'll manage," I replied, trying to be independent.

Steve gave me a look with an arched brow that reads Oh girl, you'll definitely need my help.'

"Okay," I chuckled, relenting.

"First, we'll head to your apartment," he continued, already walking ahead. I struggled to keep pace with his long strides.

"Hang on, I have my own apartment?" I asked, surprised by the revelation.

"Yes, you do, and you'll also get a car," he replied casually.

Just one hour in London and I already had an apartment and a car. Inside, I was practically screaming with excitement, feeling like I was exactly where I needed to be.

I'm already in love with this city!

We loaded my luggage into the trunk of Steve's pristine white SUV, and then settled into the plush seats. "Ready?" he asked, starting the engine.

"More than ready!" I chirped enthusiastically, fastening my seatbelt with a sense of exhilaration.

As we navigated through the bustling streets of London, I couldn't help but marvel at the city's beauty. Everything appeared so magnificent and captivating. My fascination with London had begun in my teenage years, and now, here I was, living out a dream. I eagerly snapped photos from my window, capturing the iconic sights that flashed by. The journey was unhurried, slowed by the ebb and flow of rush hour traffic. Yet, my excitement only grew as we inched closer to our destination. I felt like a child again, wide-eyed and filled with wonder.

We made a brief stop at a cozy coffee shop.

"Here you go," he said, handing me a steaming cup.

"Thank you, Steve,"

He then took out his phone, and we captured a series of selfies to commemorate the day. Steve had a knack for striking the perfect pout pose, adding a playful touch to our impromptu photo session.

We finally pulled into the parking area of a tall building adorned with the bold letters "JOIN," Steve and I step out of the car. After unloading the luggage, we swiftly made our way into the pristine foyer of the building. A man seated behind the desk greeted us with a warm smile.

We stepped into the elevator, and Steve pressed the button for the 11th floor. The soft hum of the elevator filled the air as we ascended, anticipation building with each passing floor. Finally, with a gentle ping, the doors opened onto the 11th floor.
