"Stop stressing"
"I am stressed"
"Stressing won't help you get dressed now will it?"
"It might do"
"Would you just get dressed he'll be here in about ten minutes." Mum said closing the door behind her.

It was my date with Shawn. I had my makeup and hair done but I couldn't decide on what to wear.
I had been standing in front of my near to empty wardrobe for fifteen minutes. Pulling out clothes then deciding against them.
I mean, it has to be quite casual but not too casual just in case we get pictured together.
It was so much harder than I had imagined. I wanted to impress him but I didn't want to seem like I was overly eager.
I picked up my phone and dialled Shawn's number.
"Hey in just on my wa-"
"What are you wearing?"
"What?"
"What are you wearing?" I repeated.
"Black jeans a white T-shirt and a brown coat."
"Ok thank you. See you in a minute" I rushed hanging up the phone.

He's gone casual. So I'll go casual. I picked out a pair of black leggings, a cream jumper and my denim jacket, slipping on my black vans to finish it off.
"Shawn's outside" mum shouted up.
I took a deep breath and took one last look in the mirror.
"Ok"
I jogged down the stairs and grabbed my phone and money.
"You ready?" Mum sighed and I nodded. "You know what'll happen don't you? I want you to make sure you're ready to be associated with him and his image. There's going to be stories and nasty people"
"I know. But if it works out it works out. I'm not scared" I replied and she nodded.
"As long as you're ready I'm not going to stop you" She smiled and I hugged her tight.

I wiped my hands on my leggings as I walked out to his car.
"Hey"
"Hiya"
"You look lovely"
"I was stressing so bad about what to wear. I thought I'd just go casual" I shrugged.
"Good choice" he smiled.
"Where are we going?" I asked but he didn't respond. He just smiled. "Oh god are you gonna murder me?"
"How did you know?" He said with a grin and I hit his arm semi-harshly. Shawn let out a small laugh and I rolled my eyes. "No I'm not going to murder you"

"We're back here?" I asked after about an hour of driving.
He stopped and parked the car right next to the sand.
"Is this ok?" He asked helping me out of the large car.
"It's lovely down here. So quiet"
"That's why I chose it. We can talk properly without being interrupted as much" he explained pulling out a guitar from the back of this car along with a small rucksack.

"Thank you for this Shawn. It's so nice" I said as we began to walk along the shoreline.
"Is this a good place to stop?" He asked pointing to the sand. i nodded and sat myself down next to Shawn.
Before long we fell into conversation and Shawn played small broken tunes on his guitar.
"They're beautiful, those little tunes that you play. You have such a beautiful talent Shawn" I sighed, watching his fingers move smoothly over the strings.
"This is sometimes how I make a song. I start with small tunes and just continue them if I feel something could come of it" he shrugged and we lulled into a peaceful silence.
He continued to play until the sun set fully and he could barely see the strings infront of him.
"Are you cold?" Shawn asked as a cold wind blew around us.
"Only a bit. Im ok" I smiled. But I was secretly hoping that he would wrap his arms around me.
My hopes must have been clear in my eyes as he shuffled closer to me, wrapping an arm around my waist as I shuffled closer to him. Our legs and hips touched and I immediately felt a sensation of warmth on my skin.
Yet a harsh reality hit my train of thought and feeling like a wrecking ball.
"Do you want a drink?" He asked pulling out various cans and bottles.
"Sure"
"They're alcoholic drinks"
"I'm aware" I giggled taking one of the clear bottles.

As I stared out into the ocean, I was reminded that after tonight I wouldn't see Shawn until the goodbye at the airport and then the show in London. And who knows when I would see him after that.
Falling in love with him was a loosing game I was willing to play.
"Why does it have to be this way?" I sighed, sipping from a bottle, not removing my eyes from the rippling tides.
"What do you mean?"
"Us. You and me. You're famous Shawn. I'm not. If anything were to be decided between us, surely us being apart wouldn't work. I feel like I'm falling for you, even though I know it's a loosing game as we have extremely different lives" I explained.
"On the other side of that. You're not famous which means that you could come with me" he argued.
"You have a point" I smiled. "But I mean it doesn't really matter though"
"What?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
"We're not anything"
"Do you want to be something?"
"I just want to see how it goes." I said at a slight loss for words. "I don't want to rush into anything at all. I know we don't have much time because we're leaving in two days but I think it's more of a reason not to rush." I explained and felt a sense of calm as I saw Shawn smile.
"I agree. I think there'd be more of a sense of regret if things were rushed." He said and I nodded.

It wasn't what I wanted. I said I didn't want to rush because I knew that if I said I wanted to be his girlfriend now he'd probably freak out. I thought that that's what he would have wanted so I pushed my own wants to the side to think of his.
I wanted nothing more than to be his girlfriend and to go with him on tour and be backstage at his shows. I wanted to be the one he kissed when he ran off stage filled with adrenaline, the one that sat with him in his dressing room and roamed around the stadium with.
I wanted to be the one that he felt that he needed and wanted.
But in reality, it was only me who needed and wanted him.
