"Erm, I'm here to see Faith Elizabeth?" I said to a woman at the reception.
"It's not visiting day" she sighed and typed away on her computer.
"Look, I've travelled a hell of a long way and not slept for about twenty four hours to be here" I said getting irritated.
"There's Nothing I can do. It's not visiting day" she said and I ran my hands through my hair.
"Is there a problem here?" A woman in a suit said and I nodded.
"I've travelled-"
"Yes I know who you are, and I know who you're here to see" she smiled and welcomed me through, past reception."I'd like to talk to you first though. I'm Helen and I'm the founder of this company" she said and I nodded as she walked me to her office.
"So, you're here to see Faith"
"I am."
"She's doing really well here. She's been responding well in her counselling, she's been walking a lot, playing music, and she's made a friend" she smiled and my heart swelled at the thought that she was ok.
"That's great" I sighed.
"But,"
"Oh no."
"I have to ask if you're coming here expecting a relationship with her?" She asked and I was taken back.
"What?"I didn't know.
I wanted to be with Faith but I didn't know if she wanted me, or whether it would work again after everything that we've been through."Would you want to be in a relationship with her again?" She asked again.
"I don't know. I just want what's best for her. I just want her to be safe and stable and if that means we can't be together then I'll deal with that" I sighed and I watched as a smile appeared on her face.
"Good. Sorry for my nosey nature. I've just taken to her. She's a special girl" she said and I nodded.
"She is. And I'm stupid to have done what I did" I sighed.
"Yes. Yes you are. But she says that she's moved on. She doesn't hate anyone in the equation. But I suppose you want to hear that from her" she smiled and I nodded. "The last time I saw her she was in the music room so let's go there"We walked around the open, quiet facility until we walked to a large room that had music written on the walls.
There was a quiet voice coming from inside and she pointed to the door before rubbing my back and walking away.
I slowly cracked open the door and saw her sat at a tall piano, singing along to an Elton John song.
She was wearing a grey T-shirt and blue trousers, her hair flowed beautifully over her shoulders and down her back.
I couldn't take my eyes off of her.
I leaned against the doorway and just watched her play and sing quietly.
"You're so good" I heard a boys voice say.
"Nah. I've literally just learned how to play while I've been here" she laughed and a tall boy came into my view.
"Well it's good" he said.
"Thanks Ben"
"Erm, you might want to turn around" Ben said and she turned to where I was standing.I saw her eyes go wide and she covered her mouth with her hands.
"Oh my god" I heard her say and I smiled.
"Hi" I breathed and as she moved her hands I spotted tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Please don't cry" I smiled as she got up and walked into my arms.
"I'll see you later" Ben said and moved quietly past us.
I rubbed up and down her back as she wrapped her arms around my waist.
"Shh" I said and put my head on top of hers.
"I didn't think you'd come" she said against my chest, "and it's not visitation day"
"Helen let me in" I said and she pulled away from me wiping away her tears."I'll show you round" she beamed.
We walked around the facility and she explained everything as we went along.
"So. This is my room" she said and swung open the door.
I observed her small space and sat on her bed.
"Do you like it?" She beamed.
"It's perfect" I smiled and she nodded.
"Look" She said and pulled out my pink hoodie off of a shelf.
"You got to keep it" I smiled and she nodded.
"And I put all these photos up" she smiled and I saw ones of her with Ryan and Tess and her mum, and me.
"This is beautiful" I smiled. "Come and sit" I smiled and patted the seat next to me.
She sat down next to me and smiled."Have Tess and Ryan been to see you?" I asked and she nodded.
"Ryan came with mum last week but he got quite upset about it so he didn't come this week" she sighed and I nodded. "But I understand."
"You look beautiful" I said suddenly and she blushed.
"Oh. Thank you" She smiled. "You look exactly the same. How's your?"
"It's amazing. I'm also looking for a new house" I said and she nodded.
"That's so exciting. I don't think I'll be allowed to get my own house for a while" she sighed.
"Come live with me" I shrugged but she looked taken back. "I'm sorry, that was soon I'm sorry"
"No no it's ok. I just thought that maybe you had a new girlfriend" she said and I shook my head.
"No. No I haven't. Can I be honest with you?" I asked and she nodded.
"I haven't stopped thinking about you. About where you are, what you're doing, how you're doing" I said and her large brown eyes stared into mine.
"Shawn,"
"It's true. And I'm not asking anything of you. But I just want you to be happy. You have to do whatever you want to do that's going to keep you happy" I said and she put her small hand in my hand.
"Thank you Shawn" she smiled. "I've missed you. Are you going to be here when I get out in A month?" She asked and I nodded quickly.
"Wouldn't miss it"
"It's exactly a month today. If your mum could come that would be amazing" she beamed and I nodded.
"I'll get her to come. We will always be here for you. Always"
