Harriet 'Hattie' Perks (OC): First-year muggleborn Ravenclaw, she has with bright green eyes and wavy brown hair. Hermione met her when she was bullied in a side hallway somewhere in the direction of the Astronomy tower. She adores Hermione and is quietly awed at Tom. Has the same last name as the witch that was missing from Harry and Hermione's graduating class, Sally-Anne Perks.
At some point in the Second Arc, Tom had introduced the young Jonah Avery to her, and she got to know Adrian Smith. She's far more excited about having new friends (finally!) than Jonah is.
Harriet is the English form of Henriette, and thus a feminine form of Henry (and Harry). Henry comes from the Germanic name Heimrich, which meant "home ruler", composed of the elements heim "home" and ric "power, ruler".
First Appearance: Arguing against her bullies in Chapter 26 ("The Honesty of Children"). She also appears in Chapter 28 ("Compromises") and Chapter 31 ("Traces").
