Irwin Avery (OC): Seventh-year Slytherin pureblood, the Averys are part of the Sacred 28. He shares Advanced Charms with Tom Riddle. Solidly built, he's one of the beaters on the Slytherin House's quidditch team. Irwin is not one of the louder wizards of his House (or year). Older brother to Jemima Avery.
The name 'Irwin' is from an Old English given name 'Eoforwine', where the individual elements eofor means 'boar' and wine means 'friend'.
First appearance: Chapter 47 ("The Violence Cycle"), during lunch at the Slytherin table.
