Epilogue

- Clarenz Lucido -

"Good morning Clarenz! Sa wakas, last year mo na bilang high school student. Hindi ako makapaniwala, ang bilis ng panahon!"

Kailan ba magkakaron ng katahimikan ang bahay na 'to? Tss. I don't know why I didn't got used to it while growing up. Hindi na lang ako umimik at dumiretso na ako sa upuan ko para kumain ng almusal. Binati naman ako ni Bea and I nodded at her as a reply.

"Clarenz, kumain ka ng marami ha. Inihanda lahat yan ng mama mo para sa inyong magkapatid."

My mother's cooking have always been the best. But I never told her that even though there are times that she's seeking a validation from me. Hindi sa wala akong pakialam. It's just that, I'm not the vocal type. I prefer on showing how I feel or think of something instead.

"Classmates na ba kayo ni Lauren this year?"

I did my best para hindi mag-react nang banggitin niya ang pangalan na 'yon. I just can't seem to understand the reason why my mom really likes her. That girl really causes a lot of trouble since day one, especially to me.

"Mama, sobrang impossible na maging classmates sila ni kuya noh! Sobrang engot kaya talaga ng Laurengreng na yun."

"She might not be as good as your brother anak, pero Lauren is a very lovable girl."

"I agree! Tama si papa mo baby girl."

I guess that's my cue then. Tumayo na ako at nagpaalam sa kanila para umalis. Nang makarating ako sa bus stop ay dumiretso agad ako sa kabilang dulo ng shed. I felt her sending me weird looks so I stole a glance at her. And in return, she rolled her eyes at me.

It's her. Our neighbor and the daughter of our family friend. Si Lauren Flores, ang taong pinaka ayokong pinag-uusapan. I've been trying hard to shake her off of my thoughts. I don't know why she's messing up with my head and emotions ever since that incident from five years ago.

"Oy!"

Lumingon ako sa babaeng tumawag sa'kin. I wanted to sigh when she started running towards me. This girl is really bringing out these weird feelings from me whenever she's around.

"Pasabay! Sabi ni papa sa inyo daw muna ako."

I didn't know how to respond so I just ignored her explanation and started walking. I'm sure, she's starting to send dagger looks at my back. Gusto kong ngumiti dahil nai-imagine ko ang itsura niya, pero pinigilan ko yun. She might think that I'm weird.

"FYI lang Clarenz ha, ayaw din naman kitang kasama kaya wag kang maarte."

We were never on good terms since our childhood days and I intend to keep it that way. I became a lot colder than I ever was towards her. Hindi ko rin siya pinapansin at kinakausap, lalo na sa school. Hindi rin naman ako nahirapang gawin yun dahil may iba rin naman siyang pinagtutuunan ng pansin. The guy from my class.
