Officially a week after Christmas and Hailie's birthday, but today was not amazing at all. I had went and gotten the mail early in the morning, but didn't open it up until after the girls had been up and watching tv. Anyhow, I was holding Whitney, as I found a letter that read "to the guardian of Marcela." I was a bit confused, but I quickly opened the letter. I scanned through the words, not sure what the letter was about. Then I read the last paragraph.
'Ms Winston, Marcela is my niece, and though I have not met her nor her mother before, I will be taking custody of Marcela if your home is not suitable, and if you are not suitable enough to raise her.'
I held the letter tightly in my hand, not knowing what to do. I was pissed off and scared, and there was nothing I could do about it. Well, nothing I could do about my feelings. I sighed quietly, but when I heard footsteps come into the kitchen, I quickly shoved the letter in my bra. I turned around, only to see Marshall had come in.
"Oh god, I thought you were one of the girls." I commented, and he shook his head.
"No, why?" He asked, and I bit my lip.
I slowly pulled the note out of my bra and handed it to him. He read over it slowly, before looking at me with a shocked expression on his face. Honestly, I didn't even know what to say about it.
"What are you going to do?" He asked, and I sighed slowly.
"I-I don't know. I'm not worried about the house being unsuitable, it's just- if they look into my background or into my family's, Marcela won't be in my care anymore." I replied, and he looked away for a moment.
"What could you do about that though?" He asked, and I sighed.
"Well, one way to make sure she stays in my care, is if I have someone else that doesn't have a bad rap sheet, nor does all of their family. So, do you think, you could sign the papers to adopt her? Even if it's just temporary." I asked, and he closed his eyes in thought.
"When? We don't know if this lady already looked into your past or not." He commented, and I bit my lip.
"I guess it'd be best to do it as soon as possible, so maybe later today?" I offered, and he nodded slowly.
"I hope you know, once she's mine, I'm not going to abandon her. If we split, she's going to have shared custody." Marshall said, and I nodded quickly.
"Of course. I completely understand that. Believe me, I really do. I'm just trying to make things easier for her." I replied, and Marshall frowned.
"What if that bitch looks into your past and ends up getting Emi taken away?" Marshall asked worriedly, and I sighed.
"I don't know what to do than. I can't have her taken from me, neither of them. The girls are the only reason I'm alive." I said, and Marshall nodded.
"How about temporary shared custody over Emi?" He asked, and I bit my lip.
"If we do that, they'll want her in court with us, like they are with Cela. Luckily with Cela, it's during the holidays and we can have the date set tomorrow for the actual paper signing. I don't know how Emi will deal with you adopting her, and then not being her father later on." I commented, and Marshall sighed.
"Honestly, I love you. I love Cela. I love Emi. I have no reason to leave you guys, so I think I'll do both, that way it'll be safe for you and the girls." He replied, and I nodded.
"I guess I'm going to call to set up the date for tomorrow." I said, and Marshall nodded, before he grabbed my arm.
"Why don't you-nevermind." He began, but quickly shook his head.
"Okay, but if you have something you want to say before I make the call, you might want to tell me now. You never know if you'll regret not telling me." I commented, before walking to mine and Marshall's room.
I closed the door behind me, before looking for the paperwork from when I had adopted Cela. I looked through every one of my drawers, until I found the manila envelope containing her papers. I flipped through the pages, looking for the number or numbers I was going to have to call. As I was typing the number into my phone, I remembered I needed to have a lawyer present. So, I called Marshall's lawyer from his custody hearing, and had him be our lawyer for the adoption. Anyhow, after talking to the lawyer, I began to type in the next number. As I was typing in the number, I heard the bedroom door open. I looked up, making sure it wasn't one of the girls, and I was surprised to see Marshall.
"Hey, is there something wrong-" I began, before he cut me off.
"Let's do all five girls." He rushed out, causing me to gasp.
"Are you sure? Marshall, I don't want you doing or saying something you're going to regret later on." I commented, and he shook his head.
"I thought about it, and before it's too late, I want us to have all five girls as ours." He stated, and I nodded with a smile.
"Well, if you're sure, I'll make sure to have them all on the list for tomorrow." I said, and he nodded.
"I'm completely sure." He replied, before kissing me.
Once he left the room, I sat there shocked. Honestly, I never expected him to say that. I treated the girls like my own, but I never thought it'd really happen. I was happy being their Dad's girlfriend, even if that was all they were going to know me as. Now though, now I was going to be their mom. A mother of five...

A/N: I hope you guys liked this chapter. I know Marshall would never say that, never in a million years, but for the story, she'll need custody of them as well. Just roll with it, and if you don't like it, well, quit reading, I don't need your negativity.
                              Love you guys!
