Today was Marshall's last day of rehab. The girls and I had missed him a lot. Honestly, I didn't sleep the same with him not in the same bed as me. The girls often slept in bed with me, saying it made them feel less sad. They knew Marshall needed to go though, so he could get better for them. They didn't know he was taking drugs, just that he wasn't as healthy as he needed to be. Cela almost connected the dots, but then realized that sick and injured people go to rehab as well, not only addicts. Though, if she did know, it would probably crush her spirit a little bit.
Anyhow, I had officially hit my eight month mark last week. I was getting close to the time when I had Emi. Emi came two weeks early, and I suspected this baby would too. I mean, it just made sense if the baby came two weeks early. I wouldn't have been surprised if the baby came even earlier than Emi had. I mean, it wouldn't be the best thing for the baby, but doesn't mean I would've been surprised. Emi had popped out with a clean bill of health, so it made me wonder if my body just developed babies faster than other women. With that being said, I also wondered if doctors weren't always accurate about telling how far along I was, before giving me a due date. I had a feeling that Emi may have come on the right day, just the doctor told me I wasn't as far along as I had actually been. I knew that was a bit of a long shot, but it was still a slight possibility.
The girls were not brought to school today, since we were picking Marshall up at two to bring him home. I know I should've kept it a secret and surprised them with Marshall when they got home, but I couldn't hold the secret that long from the girls. Especially since they missed Marshall a whole lot, maybe even more than I did. Not saying I didn't miss him, because I did, but I think he has a strong bond with each of the girls, making them miss him way more when he is away. It made me wonder how they would be when he went on tour. He hadn't been on tour since I met him, so I had no idea how they would be. If it's anything like they have been, I don't know if I would be able to last that long with them without surprising them with a visit to him or something.
Since I was so close to my due date, Gemma, Juice, Jax, or Opie would come around everyday to check on me. Even Tara sometimes, but she worked quite often, and I knew she was busy. Besides, I knew she'd rather get home to her boys after work, than stop by and check on a pregnant chick. I know before I had hated Tara's guts, but now I didn't seem to hate her as bad. She still got on my nerves sometimes, but what woman didn't get on my nerves.
Anyhow, as I was making lunch for the girls, I heard a bike pull up. Cela yelled that it was Jax, before she opened the door to let him inside. He walked into the kitchen where I was, and grabbed himself a water from the fridge. He knew, as did everyone else, I did not allow alcoholic beverages inside of my house. Nor did I allow cigarettes, weed, or any other type of drug in my house.
"You know you shouldn't be doing so much. You're too close to your due date." Jax said, and I pursed my lips.
"Oh, yeah? And what do you say I do than? Let my kids starve while I sit on my ass?" I retorted, and he chuckled.
"No, that's not at all what I was saying Darlin. I think you should get a maid is all I was saying." He replied, and I rolled my eyes.
I bent down to grab a pot, before I felt a gush of water go down my legs.
"Fuck!" I exclaimed, as almost immediately, contractions started to set in.
"Jesus Christ. Girls! Get your shoes on! Your Mom is having the baby!" Jax yelled, as he helped me out to my car. He laid a towel down where I was going to sit, and stuck the overnight bag in the back with the girls. He then raced down to the hospital, calling Tara on his way there.
"Call Opie. Get him to pickup Marshall." I stated, and Jax nodded.
He quickly did as I asked, before pulling into St Thomas hospital. Tara rushed to my door and put me in a wheel chair, before running me down to a room. She helped me get into a gown, before hooking up monitors and medications. She luckily had enough time to set up an epidural, before Jax and the kids came into the room.
"Marshall will be here before you give birth." Jax stated, and I nodded.
Two hours later, Marshall and Opie came into the room.
"I had Gemma come as well, that way she could help with the girls." Opie said, and I smiled.
Soon Tara came back in with a few nurses, before sending Jax, Opie and the girls out of the room. About fifteen minutes later, I had to start pushing. Since it was my second kid, the baby popped out within forty five minutes. A nurse cleaned her up, before handing her to me.
"What are you going to name her?" Tara asked, as I smiled down at my baby.
"Lorraine Claire Mathers." I replied, as she filled out the birth certificate.
"Alright, well, I'll go and tell them the baby's here and they can come visit." Tara stated, and I nodded.
She walked out of the room, leaving Marshall, Lorraine and I in the room alone.
"I love you. She's so perfect." Marshall stated, and I smiled.
"Yes she is. I love you too, Marshall." I replied, as he kissed her head.
She was my beautiful baby girl...

A/N: I hope you guys liked this chapter. I know you might have been expecting chapters whilst Marshall was in rehab, but I didn't really know what to write for that. Anyhow, I named the baby with a name special to me. I named her Lorraine after my grandmother who passed away in 2011. I miss her so much, and I believe the name is beautiful, just as she was inside and out.
Love you guys!
