About three months since the fight in the park, my leg has officially healed. Well, it's a scar, but it has healed. Marshall and I talked over the fight, and he understood why I fought the girl. At first he was mad at me, didn't talk to me for two days afterward, but we did end up talking it through and he forgave me for fighting in front of our daughters. Anyhow, today the girls were in school, except Whitney of course, and Marshall was in the studio. I had made Whitney and I pancakes for breakfast, but I ended up puking them up right after. I had been doing that for the last week. So, Proof was coming over so I could go to the doctor and get checked out.
"What do you think is wrong?" Proof asked, and I shrugged.
"Maybe the flu? I haven't been running a fever, but ya know?" I replied, and Proof bit his lip.
"Have you and Em, uh, been busy?" He asked, looking a bit uncomfortable.
"Yeah, but I mean, I thought we were always careful." I answered, and Proof shrugged.
"Sometimes you can be safe and still get pregnant." Proof said, and I bit my lip.
"I can't be pregnant though, Proof. Marshall and I already have five kids. He won't want another." I cried, and Proof shook his head.
"Mood swings? Yeah, definitely another sign. Now, Kori, Marshall loves his girls, you giving him another one? He'd be more than happy. He loves you and the girls. He'd love to finally have a baby with you." Proof replied, and I nodded.
"Okay, alright, I'm just going to change and head out. Whit is sleeping, but she'll be up in about twenty minutes for a diaper change." I stated, and Proof nodded.
I walked into mine and Marshall's room, before going into the closet and grabbing some clothes. I threw on a pair of black skinny jeans, a grey Harley Davidson t shirt, and a pair of grey Doc Martins. Once I was dressed, I said goodbye to Proof and then headed to the doctor's office. I checked in and waited for my name to be called. I was nervous, and the longer I waited for them to call my name, the more my nerves ate at me.
"Miss Winston?" A nurse called out, and I slowly stood up.
I followed her to the back and into an empty room. She closed the door, as I sat down in an empty seat.
"So, can you tell me what's wrong?" She asked, and I bit my lip.
"I think I may be pregnant. I have been getting morning sickness, mood swings, my boobs are sore." I answered, and the nurse nodded.
"Well, if you'll pee in this cup and bring it back to me, I'll check it and tell you." She replied, and I nodded.
I headed into the bathroom and peed in the cup like she had asked, before bringing it back to her. She said it would take ten minutes or so, which made my heart race. The longer I had to wait, the more my stomach churned with nerves. The butterflies turned in my stomach almost felt like they were going to tear me up from the inside. After what felt like an hour, there was a knock at the door, before the doctor came into the room.
"Well, congratulations Miss Winston, you are in fact pregnant. According to the test, you're about one and a half months along. Would you like to see?" The doctor asked, and I nodded.
She had me lay down on the table type thing, before raising my shirt and unbuttoning my pants. She squirted some of the gel on my abdomen, before running the wand over it.
"There's your baby, and there's your baby's heart beat." She stated, and I smiled.
"So, the baby's healthy?" I asked, and she nodded.
"From what I can tell, your baby is healthy and growing just fine." She replied, and I grinned.
She printed off two copies of the scan, before handing me a rag to wipe off my abdomen. Once I had wiped off the excess gel, I grabbed the scan copies, and went to the front desk. The receptionist set up my next appointment, before I headed back out to my car. I drove home, before sitting in my car after parking. I looked down at the scan, feeling my eyes begin to water. I was so scared, and I couldn't keep myself from crying. I know Proof said Marshall would be happy, but I wasn't sure if Proof was telling the truth or not. For all I know, Proof could've just been trying to make me feel better. Even worse, he could've contacted Marshall whilst I was gone.
I quickly wiped my eyes, looked in the mirror and fixed my face, before getting out of the car. I walked inside of the house, before Proof looked up at me. Whitney was playing in her bouncer, as he had Spongebon playing on the tv. I bit my lip, before sitting down slowly next to Proof.
"So?" He asked, and I slowly showed him the scan.
"One and a half months." I mumbled, and he smiled.
"That's amazing, Kori. Marshall will be so happy. When are you going to tell him?" Proof asked, and I sighed.
"I don't know. I kinda want to wait until I can wrap my own head around it, but I don't want to wait too long. Maybe I'll bring him to my two months scan." I replied, and Proof smiled.
"That'd be a great idea. Just, drop a lot of hints though, before bringing him. You don't want him thinking you've known too long. That might actually make him mad." Proof said, and I nodded.
"Yeah, I'll drop hints and leave things around to give him an idea. Make a photo book of the scans, even though he'll know about the baby before the photo book is done, it'd be a great gift for him. I'll give it to him for his birthday or Christmas, whichever comes after the baby's born." I answered, and Proof nodded.
I just hope Marshall takes this news well...

A/N: I hope you guys liked this chapter. I know you guys probably weren't expecting her to be pregnant right after the fight, but it's for the suspense, so I hope you can deal with it.
