Chapter 26 : Werewolf

The moonlight is enough for me to see the pathway heading to the computer lab. Because of finding Mary yesterday all over the campus I already memorized some parts of it.

Computer laboratory, ground floor, at the end of the building near the fence overlooking the forest.

"Sana naman walang multo don, hayst." sabi ko sa sarili ko habang naglalakad.

Mahimbing ang tulog ni Lapawan at Budoy at sigurado akong hindi nila alam itong kabaliwan ko. Well, not totally kabaliwan, gusto ko lang kasing gamitin ang computer lab para maging updated kay Mary at sa kung sino man.

At siguro maging updated din kay Cain? Damn, stop thinking about him, Jarred, just erase him out of your system!

"What the ahh!" nadapa ako dahil sa isang aso na bigla nalang dumaan mula sa likod ko at binangga pa ako. Aso ba yun? Shit! I managed to stand up and look for the dog but it's now gone.

I'm not sure if it's a dog, it is already entering the forest and I haven't seen it that crystal clear! But I reckon that it's just a dog! What else could it be?

Wala naman sigurong fox dito diba? Mga monsters? And the like?

Oh, whatever Jarred, just think that it is just a dog, okay? May gagawin ka pa!

I have succesfully entered the computer lab by removing the rectangular glass windows. It's dark inside but I didn't turn on the light because I might attract attention. Well, nobody's living near the school and there's no bodyguard but... Prevention is better than cure.

I turned on the AVR and anything that needs to be turned on. The light of the screen almost blinded me. After a minute or two of waiting finally I opened the google app!

"Facebook dot com, bilis!" then I fill up the blanks to log in. I'm not really a fan of facebook before, even now, but I accepted them when they sent me friend requests so my newsfeed will always be full of their nonsense.

"Mary Saboc." itinipa ko ang pangalan niya at lumabas naman ito. I clicked it at lumahad sakin ang timeline niya.

I scrolled down only to see not her own posts but some friends who are tagging her. What I have read shocked me.

Mary, magpagaling ka na sis, mahal ka namin. Mwuah!

Mary alam kong kaya mo yan girl, you're a fighter, remember? You will always be my favorite bestfriend!

Hoy girl ang tagal mo na diyan ah? Sana ay gumaling kana, you are stronger than your cancer! Go! Just sing your fight song! You will always be our angel!

"What the heck? Cancer?" napatakip ako sa bibig ko dahil sa gulat. Hindi naman magandang tingnan kung magjojoke sila tungkol sa cancer so totoo talaga ito! Kailan lang? Anong uri ng cancer? Anong stage na siya?

I don't know if I should be sad for her or be happy because finally she's suffering for the good. But I have to check more, maybe she's already dead, already a survivor or maybe their tagged posts are outdated!

"December!" This month pa lang nila ipinost! Kailan lang ba to!

I scrolled down again and I see some words like private doctor, homeschooled and lung cancer! Then finally I see a picture of her in a bed, something that chilled my bones!

"Good Lord no!" ang payat na ni Mary! Kung hindi ko inopen timeline niya hindi ko talaga siya makikilala! Para na siyang ET!

I wanna say karma but... I still have a good heart you know. But... She deserves it! She's a bitch! At inunahan talaga ako ng buhay sa pagbigay ng karma sakanya!
